## **NaSTA Trustees report 2019-20**
2019-2020 has been an exceptionally difficult year for NaSTA. With lockdown closing universities for the majority of the year many of our member stations lost out on the second half of the year entirely. This will have a significant effect on the future of the charity because we are reliant on our member stations for engagement. The main activity for the year, the annual conference and awards ceremony was postponed until November, and managed to take place despite a second lockdown. Our thanks go to hosts Salford University who managed to host a very good remote conference in very difficult circumstances.
The exec elections and handover were also delayed due to the pandemic, with handover eventually taking place in December 2020. The future for the charity depends on the number of student TV stations which manage to survive the pandemic, and the state of their membership, activity levels, and finances. It is probable that our events will be downscaled for a number of years due to reduced engagement caused by nearly 2 years of disruption.
