About Us

Active Youth Zone is a charity based in Manchester, utilising experts, and well-wishers to help provide volunteering work and other opportunities for young people. We provide our work and opportunities for youth across the whole UK, especially those from disadvantaged background to ensure they have the skills needed to be valued members of their community. We either treat everyone equally or differently to treat them equally, respecting the acts of Equality, diversity, and Inclusiveness.

We recognise, value and take account of people's different backgrounds, knowledge, skills, and experiences, and encourage and use those differences to create a productive and effective educational community and workforce among our Youth and young ones.

What We Believe

Inclusion is about people being fully included, to make people feel valued and respected irrespective of ethnicity, gender, disability, medical or other needs, culture, age, religion, and sexual orientation. It is about giving equal access and opportunities, breaking down barriers and getting rid of discrimination and intolerance. We work with Youth and young ones, keeping their minds busy and getting them to stay away from crime.

Our activities are targeted at improving the lives of our members and volunteers. We engage them in physical and mental activities ranging from Trainings, workshops to field and indoor sporting activities. Our volunteers work as a team to transform lives. We drive innovation and change wherever it will benefit our youth and young ones.

Our Core Values

  1. Partnership and teamwork : We work together in respect and collaborative partnership with volunteers, Families, friends, and professionals.

  2. Support : Our volunteers have great passion in working with the youth and young ones in the community.

  3. Empowerment : Every single ember of our trustee and volunteers are professional in their various fields and their experiences and skill sets has encouraged our young ones to develop themselves. We also encourage those seeking support to participate in working with us to solve the challenges they face.

  4. Innovation : We provide a platform to generate and implement innovative solutions that address the needs of our community.

  5. Advocacy and Education : We foster dialogue to educate ourselves and the public about youthful exhibition and peers’ pressure, and to develop and share resources while promoting the values we stand for.
