## **Section C                    Objectives and activities** 

The objects of the CIO are 1) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation of individuals in Twickenham and the surrounding area who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their **Summary of the objects of the** conditions of life. **charity set out in its governing document** 2) The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular for the benefit of the inhabitants of Twickenham and the surrounding area by the provision of facilities for participating in (but not limited to) football, cricket, athletics and cycling. 3)  The provision of public toilet facilities for the public benefit at Moormead Community & Sports Pavilion, Moormead Park, Twickenham.

In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings. The Trustees are satisfied that the activities undertaken have all been for the public benefit. 

The main activities were as follows: 

- Working with Richmond Council to develop the Pavilion project.

- Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Richmond Council.

- Negotiating a lease for the new Pavilion.
