The Covid19 pandemic, like most organisations, severely curtailed the Club’s activities. This including our main fundraising event in supplying a Car Park in support of the Hay International Literary Festival which was forced to cancel.
The enforced inactivity severely restricted the Club’s capacity to support the local community as it would have liked despite the need for support increasing.
Like all Service Organisations membership is always an issue with recruitment of new members very difficult. Our membership has held up during the year but the age demographic is on an upward trend. If this continues then the viability of the Club in the coming years will become difficult unless there is an upturn in membership to enable us to continue to support the Community.
