- To raise public awareness of greyhounds as pets, and to provide information regarding the health and welfare issues faced by some greyhounds.

Section D Achievements and performance
**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
- The charity homed 10 greyhounds into homes, including two ‘long staying’ greyhounds.
- The charity currently has 3 greyhounds in their care and 1 lurcher.
- The charity has a very successful relationship with Pets at Home, Anlaby store and attend there on a regular basis for fundraising and public awareness activities. These include supporting the ‘Community Partnership’ fundraising activities held by Pets at Home nationally. The partnership benefits our charity through fundraising – including receiving monetary donations from Pets at Home Foundation, donations of food and equipment for the greyhounds in our care.

All reserve funds are held for the health and wellbeing for the greyhounds in our care; including kennelling costs, parasite treatment, veterinary care and additional equipment for each dog when a suitable home is found.

- Currently the principle sources of funds is through fundraising activities – these are tombolas, raffles, bake sales, donations.
- Expenditure has included kennelling costs for the greyhounds that we have helped, including 2 dogs in residence. We have incurred some long term veterinary costs (not including neutering and dental cleaning) due to assisting one greyhound with an injury and one greyhound requiring surgery for a plate removal.
