|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|During this period, Usk New Start Cat<br>Rescue rehomed 56 cats and kittens.<br>We work very hard to ensure<br>appropriate placements based on the<br>cat/kitten’s characteristics and the<br>environment and dynamics of the<br>prospective new home. We conduct<br>home checks and have thorough<br>discussions with any prospective<br>adopters. We continued to work with<br>the community to help find missing<br>cats, reunite found/stray cats with<br>their owners and to support with<br>advice and education where<br>appropriate. Our fundraising<br>capability continued to be impacted<br>during the period. Funds were raised<br>by online appeals, raffles and<br>donations. Funds raised have been<br>used to pay our vet bills and fund the<br>additional food, litter and routine<br>medication (flea and worm<br>treatment, kitten formula etc)<br>required above the donations we<br>receive for the cats in our foster care.<br>We have continued to participate in<br>promoting neutering of cats including<br>strays and owned with the support of<br>our Vets and the services they<br>provide.|
