|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|During this period, Usk New Start Cat<br>Rescue rehomed 89 cats and kittens.<br>We work very hard to ensure<br>appropriate placements based on the<br>cat/kitten’s characteristics and the<br>environment and dynamics of the<br>prospective new home. We conduct<br>home checks and have thorough<br>discussions with any prospective<br>adopters. As Covid restrictions lifted,<br>physical home checks were<br>conducted but where restrictions<br>prevented this, thorough video<br>checks, discussions, roadside check<br>and vet checks took place to ensure<br>the appropriateness of a placement.<br>We continued to work with the<br>community to help fnd missing cats,<br>reunite found/stray cats with their<br>owners and to support with advice<br>and education where appropriate. Our<br>fundraising capability continued to be<br>impacted during the period. Funds<br>were raised by online appeals, rafes<br>and donations. Funds raised have<br>been used to pay our vet bills and<br>fund the additional food, litter and<br>routine medication (fea and worm<br>treatment, kitten formula etc)<br>required abovethe donationswe|
