|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | During this period, Usk New Start Cat Rescue rehomed 73 cats and kitens. We work very hard to ensure appropriate placements based on the cat/kiten’s characteristcs and the environment and dynamics of the prospectve new home. We conduct home checks and have thorough discussions with any prospectve adopters. As Covid restrictons lifed, physical home checks were conducted but where restrictons prevented this, thorough video checks, discussions, roadside check and vet checks took place to ensure the appropriateness of a placement. We contnued to work with the community to help fnd missing cats, reunite found/stray cats with their owners and to support with advice and educaton where appropriate. Funds were raised by online appeals, rafes and donatons and running coach trips. Funds raised have been used to pay our vet bills and fund the additonal food, liter and routne medicaton (fea and worm treatment, kiten formula etc)required above the |
donations we receive for the cats in our foster care.
