Purpose of the charity: To help people of Birchwood and Local surrounding areas in ways of donations and other assistance. We also donate to National Appeals.
Review of the year: This year, Post Covid and the welcome lifting of Covid restrictions our Lions Group have been able to get back to helping not just our local community, but also National help for assistance where needed.
During this period, we were happy to give our support to:
India disaster by way of a collection of monies at a local mall, and forwarding this via LCIF
AA Games -
Libra – Blood Cancer Charity
Birchwood Brass Band
Birchwood Evangelical Church – Money to go towards Local Food Bank
Donation of Sleep pods to the local homeless to try to help the winter months more comfortable for them.
Locking Stumps Primary School – Food bank.
Warrington Rowing Club. - Provided set of new oars which were very much needed.
LCI – Brain Tumour Appeal
LCI – Tonga
Search and Rescue
Numerous Collections and donations for Ukraine. This money went towards, getting Ukrainians out of their country safely, and to help them settle when they arrived in the UK.
Williams wish – A charity which helps support children who have been bereaved by suicide.
