UP TO TEN POOR PERSONS MAY BE APPOINTED AS RESIDENT WHO ARE WIDOWS AND WHO ARE RESIDENT WITHIN THE RADIUS OF TWENTY MILES FROM THE CIVIC HALL IN THE CITY OF LEEDS, THE TOWN HALL IN THE CITY OF WAKEFIELD OR THE GUILDHALL IN THE CITY OF YORK AT THE TIME OF THE APPOINTMENT;1.2 THE RELIEF OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE ALMSHOUSES WHO ARE IN CHARITABLE NEED BY REASON OF THEIR AGE, HEALTH, DISABILITY, OR SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES; AND/OR1.3 THE RELIEF OF PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE CITY OF LEEDS WHO ARE IN CHARITABLE NEED, HARDSHIP, OR DISTRESS BY REASON OF THEIR AGE, HEALTH, DISABILITY, OR SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES.

**Activities:** The charity (i) provides and maintains the charity's almshouse developments at Lovell Park Road, Leeds and Raglan Road, Leeds and (ii) provides grants to organisations and to projects in Leeds which alleviate financial hardship, particularly in relation to housing and social isolation.
