## **ADULLAM PROGRAMME**

## **TRUSTEES’ ANNUAL REPORT**

## **FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025**

## **_________________________________________________________________________________________________**

The trustees present the annual report together with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2025.

## **Basis of preparation**

The trustees have prepared the accounts adopting the receipts and payments method of accounting.

## **Structure, governance and management**

## _Governing document_

As a CIO the organisation operates under a constitution document dated 21 Aug 2018 and is registered with the Charity Commission, No 1179623.

## _How the charity is constituted_

The Adullam Programme is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

## _Trustee selection methods_

Trustees are appointed and ratified by the trustees for a term of three years. Where deemed appropriate the trustees may vary the term of appointment.

## **Objectives and activities**

## _Objects and aims_

The objects of the CIO are for the public benefit to: promote social inclusion by relieving the needs of people who are socially disadvantaged and assisting them to integrate into society; relieving the physical and mental sickness of persons in need, by reason of addiction to alcohol and/or drugs of any kind or suffering hardship whether physical or emotional, by the provision of support and community involvement; developing the capacity and skills of disadvantaged people in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society and/or employment.

These objects shall be met in such ways as the trustees in their absolute discretion think fit provided that at all time the charity’s activities shall be delivered in a manner consistent with the Christian faith.

## _Public benefit_

The trustees confirm that they have complied with the requirements of section 4 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Both the residential and community programme are open to people of any faith, race or background.

## **Achievement and Performance**

Looking back on 2025, we are pleased to have continued delivering the Adullam Programme while expanding our reach and influence. This growth is reflected in the increase in personnel as we continue to strengthen our team to meet the significant and growing need for our services. We look to the future with confidence and optimism, expecting to continue supporting the most needy and vulnerable members of our community in the years ahead.

## **Financial review**

## _Policy on reserves_

Free reserves held at the year end are £48,934 _(2024 – £76,591)_ . The trustees seek to keep reserves at a sufficient level to cover ongoing costs for 12 months.

At the present time the trustees do not have a selection policy for investments.

## **ADULLAM PROGRAMME**

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT**

## **FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025**

## **_________________________________________________________________________________________________**

I report on the accounts of the Adullam Programme for the year ended 31 December 2025, which are set out on pages 3 to 4.

## **Respective responsibilities of the trustees and examiner**

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to:

- examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,

- to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and

- to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

## **Basis of independent examiners’ statement**

My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

## **Independent examiners’ statement**

In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act or

- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records

I have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
