Following the refurbishment of the Village Hall (funded by the
Nalional Lottery), which commenced in July 2018 and was completed by
August 2019, Laxton Village Hall has been available to be rented by
residents of the village and surrounding area.

In planning the charity's adivities. the Trustees have regard to both the
Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit and the specific
objectives of the chartty. Public benefit is achieved by providing a building
for use by inhabitants of the village and by local community groups.

Following the refurbishment of the Village Hall (funded by the
National Lottery), which commenced in Juty 2018 and was completed by
August 2019, Laxton Village Hall has been available to be rented by
residents of the village and surrounding area.

achlevements of the charity
during the year
The financial results for the year to 31 December 2024 have b8en
encouraging. Booking levels have been good, helped by Iwo eleclions.
and income from events have been strong, largely due to the successful
Open Gardens evenl held across the village, as well as the music night.
Costs have continued to increase as a resull of inflationary pressures.
Only minor refurbishment expenditure was incurred in the year to
31 Decernber 2024 (largely electrical workl as this project has now been
subslantialty completed.

Financial review
The Charity does not have a form81 reserves policy. Reserves at
31 December 2024 total £20,504 of which £9,432 are in restricted funds
and are in relation to the National Lottery funding. These are Iherefore
restricted and to be spent on the refurbishment project. The balance of
reserves is in unrestricted funds1£11,072) and are considered adequate
tD cover overheads I running costs for a number of years.
