Governlng Document Megan Hurley Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Oryanisation, registered with the Charity Commission, governed by its constitution. The CIO was registered on 8 August 20L8. Objectives and activities The purp05e5 of the charity, a5 set out in the governing document are to provide Short temi help and suptK)rt to self-employed families who are unable to attend work due to the sudden and unexpected loss of a child. The charity may also provide support to other good causes that will beneflt chlldren. The trustees ablde by charlty objectlves to accept or decline funding appllcations. Achlevements and performance The period of December 2022 lo November 2023. Some key fundraising activities included.. Our third annual bike ride, raising around £17,000. MCR Remembers annual Charity Football match raised £7,000. We We￿ also chosen as Adlent's charity of the year 2023 whlch ralsed over £10,000. Given the cashless scciety we operate within we decided to remove most of the collection boxes from local businesses with the exception of Just four who wished to continue to support the charity in this way. During the period, the charity was able to provide financial 5UPPQrt to 6 bereaved families following their tragic circumstances involving their beloved children. We were able to provlde support to other gcK)d causes In the local communlty that benefltted children Sncluding providlng klts and equipment, promoting our charity, to two local football clubs. Also, we contributed towards the costs of travel for a local youth who was given an opportunity to progress his football career in Barcelona. Throughout 2023 we started to develop collaborative relationships with Alder Hey Snowdrop team, the bereavement service have referred a number of families to our charity for support. We look forward to 202415 and continuing to build on our relationships with Snowdrop bereavement team. We continue to plan for our next annual bike ride which is 9rowing in popularity year on year. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the CIOS'S constitution, the Charities Act 2011 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charities..
