Back round Strong Tower Christian Centre exists to share the love of Jesus Christ to as many in and outside of the cty of Wakefield. We encourage our church members to love one another and maintain intimacy with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as instructed in the Holy Scriptures. As we got out of the Covid situation, the church continued to combine fa-t0 -face meetings and Zoom meetings for the Youth Club called Wisdom Platform. The church embarked on several evangelism campaigns aimed at spreading the gospel of Christ with the members of the public. Some of the campaigns were the Pugneys Park Evangelism event and the Diggerland Family Love Feast. We collaborated with other churches in the city through various events and workshops to strengthen the bond among churches in the city and have been encouraging other church leaders from different cities to do same. The Church continues to operate from the Portobello Community Centre where it reaches out to many residents in the city of Wakefield with the good news of the gospel of Christ. Charlty Activities and achievements Activities carried out by the Strong Tower Christian Centre includes Nonnal Church Events: The Church activities comprises fa to face servi and online seNis. Monthly Evangelism outreach: The Church goes out on a their monthly outreach to spread the love of Jesus in the city. Summer Family Day Outing.. The Church had family day outing in August 2022 at the Pugneys Country Park , Wakefield and another event at
Diggerland. These events fonned part of our outreach programmes for the year. Church Leaders weekly Prayer Meeting: The Leadership Team of the church continued with the jointly weekly prayers sessions that his held every Monday to pray for the spiritual and moral wellbeing of the city. The prayer meetings has continued to be held online. Workshops, Retreat and joint Christmas Carol were held amongst church leaders in the city which shows the unity and bond amongst church leaders. Annual Christmas party: The Church had her Annual Christmas party on the 18th of Dember 2022 where the members of the public were invited to attend. Risk Management The Church has been working closely with the Management of the Portobello Community Centre in reviewing the risk associated with Covid-19 so as to take appropriate action should there be a need to staying away from the Property facilities as a way of mitigating risk. Volunteers The church experienced a drop of some of the volunteers due to relocation. New volunteers were added after having completed training. The charity appreciates the dedication and commitment of volunteers and friends of the church who under the direction of the of the church leaders perfomi several tasks in order to assist in fulfilling its objectives. Financial Review In view of the fact that the income of the charity was less than £10,000, the charity has prepared the reiptS and payment account in compliance with the Charity Commission's governing document. Funding The church has entirely funded by members donations, offerings and tithes.
