## **Cornwall Food Action Charity Commission Annual Report**

Date 24/03/2023

Cornwall Food Action continues to broker surplus food in the supply chain into organisations supporting vulnerable people in Cornwall.

In Cornwall rurality remains a challenge, there can be significant distance between the food and the organisations utilising that material.

We are a small group of people working in hubs across the county, our reliance on representatives (volunteers) from the recipient organisations is a formula that works. In many cases we register people as Cornwall Food Action volunteers in order we can cover the food mileage expenses of the volunteers collecting and delivering the food.

None of the core members / trustees of Cornwall Food Action are re-numerated it is an entirely volunteer led entity which allows the Charity to focus its reserves on supporting mileage expenses as well as the day to day organisational expenses, insurance, domain charges etc.

We will continue to operate in this low key but valuable manner to support Cornwall’s food system in redirecting surplus, as well as assisting front line
