VIVIAN OSUNKOYA SHODIPO (VOS) FOUNDATION APRIL 2020 – MARCH 2021 ANNUAL REPORT AND ACCOUNTS

The last 12 months, as months, before that, had been very unpredictable and challenging times for all of us because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Vivian Osunkoya Shodipo Foundation has, like many charities, been impacted negatively from the ability to fundraise. Our fundraising activities have ground to a halt because of the inability to bring people together physically in a building.

This has, in turn, impacted on the support we could offer to our beneficiaries over this financial period. While there was uncertainty about when we will be able to hold our annual fundraising events, we had to adapt fast to the changing reality and for the first time in November 2020 we held a virtual fundraising event. Though this was challenging, it helped us enormously to raise some funds.

During this financial year, we raised £3,509.71 through donations and our expenditure was nil. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions we were unable to commission projects.

We want to thank all our supporters who despite the pandemic reached deep into their pockets and donated generously. We will continue to serve our community despite these unprecedented times.

Signed: Mrs Sandra Popoola, OBE
