The Trustees are pleased to present their report and accounts for the period ending 31[st] August 2025, which have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities (March 2005).
Public Benefit
The Trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit reporting. This report illustrates activities carried out in support of the public benefit requirement.

Organisation
The constitution of Raise Kids Work is to serve children of the East Anglia area and beyond. To reach them with the gospel in a relevant way.

Training
All Trustees, workers and volunteers are made aware of the policies and procedures put in place by Raise Kids Work. Training is provided as appropriate to ensure all are equipped to carry out their duties.
Related Organisations
RAISE KIDS WORK seeks to work in churches and schools in order to maximise opportunities for primary aged pupils, and to serve Christian organisations who look to deliver quality children’s work. It works with these bodies in different capacities agreed upon with each of them. RAISE KIDS WORK uses various facilities provided by these churches, schools and organisations and is very grateful for their support and co-operation.
Risk Management
The Trustees work with the Director of Operations to monitor the risks facing the charity.
They are responsible for keeping accounting records which show at any time with reasonable accuracy the financial position of the charity. They ensure that the reporting of financial matters is in line with the Charities Act 1993. They are responsible for the safeguarding of the assets and procedures that protect against fraud and other irregularities.

Objectives and Activities
The objects of the CIO are: To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the statement of faith in East Anglia and its environs and throughout the world for the benefit of Young People, in particular children by;

a. proclaiming Christian messages of an evangelistic and teaching nature;

b. demonstrating, promoting and encouraging Christian values, including Dignity, Empowerment and Partnership;
-
c. teaching children and young people through events, lessons and activities within schools and churches and their environs; and
-
d. demonstrating the Christian faith by promoting overseas service, education, practical action and working with those affected by poverty and sickness, either directly or through relevant relief agencies.
Achievements and Progress
For the period September 2024 – August 2025
PUZZLE PODS
Puzzle Pod 1 : November 2024 was positive, with 3 visits to schools. Feedback included, “Such engagement in learning allows children to refer to their understanding in a fun, thoughtful way.” Vicki and two volunteers were trained during May 25; this was invaluable ahead of two days with Year 6 classes at St Nicholas Priory School towards the end of the month.
On 23 June 2025 the Puzzle Pod was taken to Hopton on Sea for the third time and was warmly welcomed; it was Vicki’s first solo Puzzle Pod day with Andy.
The Pod was taken to St Mary’s Junior School (40 Year 6s) on 30 June and 1 July 2025, thanks to Hope Church, Long Stratton. The children had been really engaged. 2 volunteers helped on the first day and one returned on the second day.
Puzzle Pod 2 : work on the new Pod continued in during 2024 and 2025. The puzzles had arrived from Italy and Spain and were looking great. Design and build issues were addressed and VAT increased costs.
CONFERENCES
Hand In Hand Conference, February 2025: RAISE was part of this National Children and Family Ministry Conference as an exhibitor, and able to show the Puzzle Pod as well as taking part in a 15 minute Encounter Seminar, giving testimony.

SCHOOLS WORK
Assemblies: in October 2024 Andy led a Respect assembly in Hethersett Primary, Carleton Rode, Forncett St Peter (for the first time), Morley, Tacolneston, Robert Kett Primary and Great Witchingham. In November he returned to Morley and Tacolneston and led an assembly on Creativity.
In March 2025 it was back in schools to lead a Collective Worship 6 times in 4 schools (Hethersett, Robert Kett, Tacolneston and Morley) on the theme of Co-operation and working together. It was great to go into a new school for RAISE – Chapel Green – sharing what Easter meant for Christians. The teacher organising my visit said it was “Amazing to see the children engaged in the gospel message. Can’t wait to have you back!”
Christmas Experiences and Christmas in a Box: Raise shared the Christmas story with around 530 children. A training session in Cromer at the end of November was well received. A number of volunteers said they were happy to be asked to help again.
Christmas in a Box was presented to around 230 children at Browick and Long Stratton in partnership with Hope Church. It was also taken to Cringleford Year 2s and Year 5 classes at Robert Kett. Feedback was very positive. Robert Kett commented, “This is the second year of Christmas in a box and it was just as captivating and engaging for the children and myself. The children were hook and engaged throughout and loved every minute of it. Thank you!”
Cringleford said, “Christmas in a Box was a great way of consolidating all the learning that the children have done in the build up to Christmas. They clearly loved the session and took their boxes home at the end - excited to share their learning with their families.”
Prayer Space: there was a whole school two day prayer space at the end of January at Ashwicken. Feedback was positive: “Andy Jones and Raise Kids provided an inspiring and reflective prayer space experience that beautifully supported our Christian vision, allowing our pupils to explore faith in a meaningful and personal way. Their work aligned perfectly with our SIAMS focus on spiritual development, creating opportunities for pupils to engage with prayer and reflection in a way that deepened their understanding of our school's Christian ethos.”
Easter 2025: a number of schools requested an Easter event including Great Witchingham, Robert Kett, Cringleford and Thurton. One highlight from Great Witchingham was a girl who had written a prayer on a palm leaf and wanted to share it with the whole school in the final assembly. The head of school said “The children knew the story in detail by the end of the day and could talk about it later on in the week - thank you”
At Robert Kett for Year 2 the teacher said, “A brilliantly organised event which allowed the children to gain a understanding of the Easter story in a fun and interactive way.”

At Thurton the whole school took part in the Easter Experience. The team included Norwich Youth For Christ and Heather Land (from Bungay Church) with their new kids worker so they could experience some of what RAISE did.
Other schools work: Andy and Vicki prepared and delivered an assembly on patience and commitment at Robert Kett (twice – once for each Key Stage) and Swanton Morley. As a result c. 600 children had been reached.
In July a Challenges Assembly was created using the story of David and Goliath as a preparation for schools before the Action-Song-A-Thon.
CHURCH WORK
In the summer of 2024 RAISE was in Wales for another Church Weekend Away; the church’s theme was Anchored (in peace, prayer and purpose).
In January 2025 Andy was invited to speak and lead part of the service at Wymondham Methodist church and led a small part for the children before they left, introducing them to World Changers and had the opportunity to talk about Raise.
2025 Summer Holiday Club : this was RAISE’s first 10-3pm three-day Holiday Club. The venue was Long Stratton. The days were longer but there was time for more elements.
The theme was Space Invaders - Why is God important, Why is Jesus important and Why are we important. Over 50 children booked into the event with a team from Hope Church, Long Stratton and a number of people from other local congregations. Will Twentyman and Amy Stevenson led the upfront sessions with Vicki and Andy, dressed as aliens. Vicki led the crafts well and the children went home with good three day crafts. On Sunday RAISE returned for the final session with a service takeover. Some families joined in and learnt we have a purpose in life - to love and worship God.
The Hope Church Site Leader said, “The whole experience was fantastic, with over 50 children in attendance. The RAISE team were brilliant to work with, using their creativity, resources, energy and expertise to great effect. Their passion for children to learn about and encounter Jesus was really evident and infectious. Thankyou so much, look forward to next time.”
MegaMix Kids Club: (the monthly partnership with Hope Church, Wymondham) “Heaven’s Kitchen” continued with HOPE and the 7-11s monthly club in November, December 2024 and January 2025, usually with c. 40 children. On 2 February one of the Year 5 children from MegaMix and HOPE was baptised.

Megamix returned in May and June 2025 with nearly 50 7-11 year olds. The theme was “Heaven’s Kitchen” and the focus was on God’s provision using the miraculous catch of fish in May and the invitation to the best party of all in June. A little banquet was prepared for parents and children and the Year 6s received a leaving gift as they moved up to High School.
At Home with God – Cathedral day – 26 April: Andy Severn returned to volunteer for this event, which was organised by the Diocese of Norwich Children and Youth team. RAISE led a family session on learning Bible verses at home, using props, and one family was guided to the armour of God verses in a Bible App to consider how it might be one of the special family verses.
RAISE also led a kids-only session and talked about being the salt of the earth. The children took home a packet of salt and shake crisps with the Bible verse on it as a reminder.
London Road Baptist Church – Kids Session: on 28 June 2025 RAISE led kids sessions at LRBC’s church day. This was a great time sharing with the Big Story of the Bible and God’s power. Children were sent home with a little mirror to remind them that they are made to reflect God’s glory and goodness. The children’s and families worker said, “A huge thank you for all your hard work …the children loved it!”
On 16th March 2025 RAISE was invited to Hingham Christian Fellowship to share the work of Raise Kids Work.
OTHER INITIATIVES
Raise Prayer Online: started in March 2025 with a group to pray for the work of Raise for half an hour online. This could become bi-monthly.
Monthly updates: began in 2025, from a base of 85 subscribers. https://raisekidswork.org.uk/connect
Training: various training initiatives were progressed including GDPR online training, manual handling and setting up and packing down.
Trademarking and website: both work in progress.
Fundraising: There was a successful Thanksgiving event on 15 November 2024 and an Action-Song-A-thon on 18 July 2025. Vicki and Andy sang the song with about 1,000 children and had positive conversations with heads / teachers; at least one school was using the song this term. Schools included Robert Kett, Long Stratton, Cringleford, Thurton, Hockering, Swanton Morley, Pulham and Great Witchingham). Most of them would also have a Challenges themes assembly in the weeks leading up to it . £2,146.87 was raised.
Trustees’ Away Day and Staff Away day : took place in July.

Financial Matters
The Trustees receive a financial report from the administrator/treasurer and the Director of Operations at each Trustee’s Meeting. We have worked very hard at fundraising through the efforts of the Director of Operations especially through the Action-Song-A-Thon in July 2025.
The Trustees are extremely thankful to all the organisations and individuals who have supported the work of RAISE KIDS WORK through 2024-2025.
Salaries and working hours have been set and reviewed by the Trustees. This will be revisited again in the coming year.

Project Management
The project is managed and overseen daily by the Director of Operations, Andrew Jones. Managing the project includes overseeing a growing number of volunteers as well as every day running. The Director of Operations meets with the Trustees on a bimonthly basis to give written or verbal report of the work, submitting proposals for new initiatives. He also discusses the financial status of the project.
The Trustees are committed to supporting the Director of Operations, and taking action as required ensuring the effective and safe operation of the project.

Summary
2024/25 saw our continued presence in schools, with an increase in the number of schools we are active in. We continue to use the Puzzle Pod as an interactive experience in school and church settings. Puzzle Pod 2 has now moved from the planning stage to being developed, this includes design and production of some of the puzzles. This has been possible because of the generous grant from Just Sow last year and a smaller grant this year. We continue to be excited by the possibilities it holds. Both Puzzle Pods continue to be developed by our Director of Operations.

We are thankful to all our volunteers who are a vital part of our work. We are trying to find ways to expand our support base and we greatly appreciate the encouragement and support we receive from them.
Raise Kids Work strives to reach its goals and objectives. Our biggest challenge continues to be having the funds to grow as a charity. We employ one Full time and one part time member of staff, this creates constraints. More volunteers in all areas of the charity’s life would relieve some of these restrictions. With more staff and volunteer support the charity could expand considerably.

Respective The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. responsibilities of The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year trustees and examiner under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:

to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and

to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given examiner’s statement by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
