Jesus Christ the Great Ministry UK

Aims and Purposes

Jesus Christ The Great Ministry (JCGM) has the duty of propagating the mission of the Church such as evangelism, sharing the Gospel of Christ, attending to the sick and the disabled and to advance Christianity.

Objectives and Activities

JCGM is committed to equip as many people as possible to become soul winners and to worship at our church and to become part of our church community. JCGM maintains an overview of worship throughout the local community near our church and involving as many groups as possible throughout the whole of England. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer, bible study, music ministry, sharing the gospel and mini concert.

When planning our activities for the year, JCGM is strictly guided by the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and, in particular, the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. We enable the members to live out their faith as part of our Christian community through:

Worship and prayer; learning about the Word of God through the Bible; equipping the members to become soul winners; attending to the spiritual upliftment of those who are sick, disabled and have less in life; provision of pastoral care for people who work and live near the Church; missionary and outreach work.

The same method of sharing the Gospel is being adopted by the Church from the start of the Pandemic and this method greatly support the determination of our Church to pursue our commitment for the ministry. We are still using the Zoom app which makes it user friendly and accessible to a lot of our members, all for the purpose of collective discussions about the bible or bible studies and prayer meetings.

To facilitate this work it is still imperative that we adopt the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ while living here on earth and maintain the fabric of the Church of JCGM.

Achievements and Performance

JCGM is still determined to offer a range of activities during the week and the course of the year inspite the pandemic that our church find both beneficial and spiritually fulfilling. Such as Bible Study every Wednesday via Zoom meeting instead of selected members’ homes, prayer meetings every Saturday also via Zoom meeting instead of selected members’ homes, although mini concert and street evangelism were held in abeyance for the time being.

This year had been a very difficult year for the ministry work not only for the church but also for the whole of the UK and the world over. This extraordinary circumstance was brought about primarily by the pandemic and secondly by the Brexit initiative. The biggest setback as far as the ministry is concerned is recruitment and expansion in general.

Inspite the ministry reverses, all are still welcome to attend our regular services via Zoom. At present church members had dwindled to only 20 active membership. The average Zoom attendees counted during August 2021 is still 15 hoping but this number will increase with the waning effects of COVID 19 and the advent of herd immunity brought about by the vaccines and boosters.

On top of our regular services, our church is also engaged in baptism where we thank God for the gift of life, in marriage where public vows are exchanged and blessing of God shared, and in funeral services where friends and family express their grief and prayer for the redemption of souls. These services are however suspended for the time being.

Mission and Evangelism

Our mission is to advance Christianity is such ways as we see appropriate under the circumstance such as to pastor to every person to receive Jesus Christ as Saviour; to evangelise souls and equipping them to fulfil their divine destinies in Christ Jesus, to go out and bear fruit and ensure that the fruit remains; to conquer the enemy (the Devil) by healing the sick, deliverance, inner healing and teaching the Word of God; to establish a place of worship; and to pray for and win unbelievers into the faith.

Our church tracks citing bible verses and inviting people to the church with details printed are distributed weekly to nearby public places frequented by people such as Kilburn area and Golder’s Green station. We are very thankful to all volunteers of the church in making this effort possible in the best way we can. This tracks and evangelism efforts help invite people to receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour and to teach them about the Word of God.

Please know that these missions were temporarily suspended while the Pandemic had moved through its course for the whole year last year and still appears to be unstable and uncertain.

Financial Review

Our church is already on its third year but is still struggling with funds and resources. Inspite such limitation, our church is still maintaining its efforts to spread the good news about the Word of God and invite people to join us in our worship and evangelism works.

At present our funds are still earned through voluntary contribution of our members, and the generosity of donors and sponsors who are supportive of our efforts towards achieving our mission.

Volunteers

We thank all the volunteers who work selflessly to make our Church become more effective in evangelising souls and administering the Word of God to those who have no personal relationships with Christ and in recruiting people into the Christian faith. These volunteers have made our church alive, active and inspired. We also thank them for putting efforts to make our service lively and vibrant (inspite using Zoom app only) without any promise of reward but purely on serving God out of love. Although the activities of last year had been very slow and at times passive due to Church member’s apprehension over COVID.

Structure, governance and management

The method of appointment of charity trustees is set out in the governing document of the trust. The board of trustees of JCGM or Jesus Christ The Great Ministry consists of the incumbent Managing Trustee, Secretary, Treasurer and 2 other trustees. The Managing Trustee and President at the same time is elected by the majority of the board of trustees.

The board of trustees is responsible for making decisions on all matters of general concern and importance to the church including deciding on how the funds of the church are to be spent.

Given the board’s wide responsibilities, JCGM has a number of committees each dealing with a particular aspect of ministry life. These committees include worship team, music ministry, missions, evangelism, logistics and finance. They are all responsible to the board and regularly report back to the board with minutes of their deliberations being received by the whole of the board of directors, where discussions are encouraged.
