## Trustee’s Annual Report for the Year Ending 30[th] June 2025 

## The Charity 

Fairlop Lions Club (CIO) registered with the Charities Commission (No 1179347) on 26[th] July 2018 with five trustees.  The current summary is as follows: 

   - Trustees on 1 July 2024

- Amarjit Singh Soora 

- Iqbal Hussain Abdeali 

- Brijesh Chauhan 

- Surjit Kaur Chodda (Mrs) 

- Neshawar Singh Lakhan 

The club’s activities and charitable objects are shown on the charity’s framework page. 

## The Charity’s Income – How we collect the money 

We raised awareness of our charitable causes at our fundraising events as follows: 

- Donations collected through members, the network of members’ contacts, customers and project campaigns in the UK. In total £25,455 raised 

- Fairlop Lions members contributed (£2,700) in support towards a children’s orphanage in Malawi and helped to raise (£2,390) for cancer awareness and treatment in India. 

- A charity marathon walk funded our eye camp appeal for this year by our members and supporters. £13,746 raised. 

- Funds (£700) were also raised towards Parkinson’s Hope support project. 

## Our Charitable Work – Where we spend the money 

The club this year spent the funds raised on worthy causes – all amounts donated are shown in the accounts that follow this report. In total £28,645 was paid out. 

- Cancer awareness camps were held by Can Support in New Delhi with funds donated by club members. 

- The annual Eye camp this year for cataract surgeries was funded and members also supported the building works at the Lions hospital. The club also contributed to the District appeal for a vision camera. 

- The club also generously supported the disaster relief efforts by Lions Club International. 

- Both diabetes and prostate cancer awareness were supported. 

- The club has also paid for a water borehole in Kenya to be functional later this year.

Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the
Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting r¢cords kept by the
charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts. and seeking explanations
from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all
the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to
whether the accounts present a "true and fair view" and the report is limited to those matters
set out in the statement below.

In connection with my examination. no matter has come to my attention..
(l) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements..
To keep accounting record5; and
To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records, or
(2) to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawm in order to enable a proper
