## Fairlop Lions Club (CIO) 119 Eton Road, Ilford Essex IG1 2UF ## Trustee’s Annual Report for the Year Ending 30[th] June 2021 ## The Charity Fairlop Lions Club (CIO) registered with the Charities Commission (No 1179347) on 26[th] July 2018 with five trustees. During 2019-20 five new Trustees were appointed and two Trustees resigned and one new Trustee appointed on 14[th] July 2020. The current summary is as follows: - Trustees on 1 July 2020 - Sukhdev Singh Marway - Added (14 July 2020) - Satwinder Singh Nandhra - Charanjit Singh (Mrs) - Amarjit Singh Soora - Doreen May Allen (Mrs) - Iqbal Hussain Abdeali - Brijesh Chauhan - Surjit Kaur Chodda (Mrs) - Bhupinder Singh Jandoo The club’s activities and charitable objects are shown on the charity’s framework page. ## The Charity’s Income – How we collect the money We raised awareness of our charitable causes at our fundraising events as follows: - Donations collected through members, the network of members’ contacts, customers and project campaigns in the UK. - Fairlop Golf Day provided much needed support with £3332 for our General Fund. - Our Leos donated £500 towards Haven House Hospice and individuals also provided money for Brain Tumour research and the women’s Refuge. - Fairlop Lions members agreed for hospitality monies from our subscriptions to boost the General Fund by £2000. - Funds were also raised for our annual Eye camp and our members and supporters donated generously towards the supershoe project and oxygen concentrators for India. ## Our Charitable Work – Where we spend the money The club this year spent the funds raised on worthy cause projects - amounts donated are reflected (on page 3) of the accounts that follow. - CoViD-19 support – feeding NHS staff and CoViD-19 support for India (over £9,000) - Haven House Children's Hospice (£5,000) - Supershoes (over £4,000) - The annual Eye camp (nearly £13,000) - Cancer Mobile Camp in Punjab via World Cancer Care (which has been funded but on hold because of CoViD-19). ## Our accounts Our charity accounts are regularly presented and scrutinised at our monthly Business meetings.
