Treasurers Report

It has been a great year for fundraising activities this year making an incredible £30,583 income and increasing our funds by £4,667.46. Our most successful event again was the fireworks which is a joint event with Broadstone First School. This event made a stagering £8,915 and is a great fundraiser as well as being open to the local community which has become a local tradition.

Our Christmas Fayre was a huge successful also with the famous raffle with the children's hampers being excellent sought after prizes. The competition between classes and teachers increases each year. The pound matching for the raffle is included in the figures which totalled £750 from Barclays - thank you.

The School Lottery is a great earner raising £2,108 this year. It helps raise funds with the added bonus that a parent is going to win each week. The Lottery also offer incentives which range from toys to experiences which certainly help us add more parents to the Lottery. All welcome - you do not have to be part of the school to join - good luck!

Another positive fundraiser is our Nearly New Uniform. Donations are made by parents each year and it helps a lot of parents with uniform raising £451 this year.

With the funds raised we gave £1,300 to the school to buy digital cameras for UBC. We also spent £3,492 on science equipment including £1,358 on microscopes. We spent £760 on sewing machines which allows all children to get a chance of using one in lessons. £210 went towards a stove and a shed for the new LINK project at the school which is for children with specific needs and is now a part of the school.

We are extremely grateful for the support of parents, teachers and the local community.
