The Trust promotes the preservation and demonstration for public benefit of the steam-operated land drainage station built in 1855. It is the only known example of a working steam-operated scoop-wheel pump. It is situated in the parish of Tattershall, Lincs. The Trust promotes education in land drainage, the human impact on the natural environment, industrial archaeology & mechanical engineering.
Objects: To Promote The Permanent Preservation Of Dogdyke Pumping Station For The Benefit Of The Public As An Example Of An Historic Pumping Station.to Permit Dogdyke Pumping Station To Be Viewed By The Members Of The Public In Order To Promote The Education Of The Public In The History Of The Pumping Station.whether In The United Kingdom Or Elsewhere To Provide And Promote Education On Land Drainage, Human Impact On The Natural Environment, Industrial Archaeology And Mechanical Engineering; And Such Other Charitable Purposes In Connection With The Above As The Trustees May In Their Sole Discretion Decide.
