It seems another year in “Hibernation”, the opportunities for reopening flying opportunities have not presented themselves, and limited Flying operations were limited to maintaining currency for the pilots.
This being the case, the decision was taken to continue our “Hibernation” period for another until conditions have changed. After much thought and consideration, this was the only logical option for the Charity, as all of our activities would have been severely curtailed due to conditions, which would have made them completely non-viable financially.
In the event, this has not caused us the problems it might have done, as all our volunteers remain keen, and simply got on with other tasks, and great progress has been made with working on our aircraft in preparation for whwn we expect to resume flying operations.
It had been expected that Covid would no longer impact us, however, this is still not the case, and we feel it is too risky to enter into commitments that we will be unable to maintain, if there is a return to some form of lockdown. Our own volunteers have all exhibited Covid symptoms at some point or another during this period..
As usual, the key thing is that the Charity is remains solvent, and has dedicated volunteers, and we are keen to move forward once conditions improve.
All other items remain as previous. There have been no changes of Trustees or contact details.
