Following our previous year in “Hibernation”, the opportunities for reopening have not presented themselves, such that Flying operations were only feasible after the end of the normal Flying season.
This being the case, the decision was taken to contiinue our “Hibernation” period for a subsequent year until conditions have changed. After much thought and consideration, this was the only logical option for the Charity, as all of our activities would have been severely curtailed due to conditions, which would have made them completely non-viable financially.
In the event, this has not caused us the problems it might have done, as all our volunteers remain keen, and simply got on with other tasks, and with no ongoing liabilities (such as site rent, or contracts) to consider, then simply continuing with Hibernation was relatively easy for us to accomplish.
Given that at the time of this return, Covid is now effectively over, we would expect to recommence operations as soon as Spring breaks.
The key thing is that the Charity is still solvent, and has dedicated volunteers, and we are keen to move forward once conditions improve.
All other items remain as previous. There have been no changes of Trustees or contact details.
