Techtivity, Charity number 1179177 Trustees Annual Report for the period 1st July 2023 to 30th June 2024 The purpose of our charity. as set out in our governing document. is to relieve the n￿dS of children, young people and their families who are in need by reason of the cognitive disabilities of ADHD, Autism, learning difficulties and social arLxiety who reside in Bridgend and the surrounding area. We achieve this through providing and / or a&sisting in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of such children, young people and families with the object of improving their condition of life. Our main activities are a weekly technology club (fech club), 4-5 events per week through the school holidays). In addition, we support the parent carers who attend these activities with their children through social gathering and relaxation opportunities. Our charity is solely run by volunteers all of whom are parent carers. During the year 2023-2024, our charity . Maintained an ongoing relationship with our councils disability sports department and Bridgend Inclusive Network Group. Continued to run our weekly Tech club and events during school holidays for the families that we support Provided carers breaks for our members Provided household packs and offered household items for sale at our dub to support with the cost of living crisis Please see our submitted receipts and payments accounts for details of the amounts held at the end of the period 2022/2023. Overall, we are pleased with our position at the erKI of the year and believe it leaves us in a strong position for the next year. In relation to holding reserves, we aim to have 6 months worth of running costs (In our own fundraising / unreserved funds) at any time. This ensures that we are able to continue running our charity for a period of 6 months if we do not obtain grants. 11 Our governance document is a Constitution (Charitable Incorporated Organisation). Trustees are selected within our AGM. They must register interest through the completion of a form stating why the want to become a Trustee and what skills and experience they would bring to the charity.
