Provide support and advice to those affected by domestic abuse and/or family abuse, trauma and mental health issues.
Objects: To Relieve The Physical And Mental Distress Of Women And Men, Who Live, Study Or Work In Salford And Who Have Been Subject To Domestic Abuse Either At Present Or In The Past By, The Men Or Women With Whom They Are Living Or Have Lived With, The Fathers Or Mothers Of Their Children Or Any Other Member Of Their Family, And Their Children Who Have Been Affected By Domestic Abuse In Particular But Not Exclusively By: A. The Provision Of Meeting Places Where Such Men And/or Women And/or Their Children Can Gain Support And Advice For Their Problems Created By Such Domestic Abuse. B. Assistance In Obtaining Medical Care Advice And Treatment C. Support To Help And Encourage Each Victim And Their Children To Determine Their Own Future And To Become Self-Reliant And Self-Empowered. D. To Promote, Encourage And Undertake Research Into Ways Of Preventing Or Relieving The Suffering Caused By Physical, Mental Or Sexual Maltreatment And To Print, Publish, Issue Or Circulate Gratuitously Or Otherwise Any Report, Periodicals, Books, Pamphlets, Leaflets Or Other Documents In Order To Educate The Public In The Problems Of Maltreated Men, Women And Children E. Advancing The General Public In Matters Relating To Domestic Abuse F. To Do All Such Other Things As Are Necessary For The Attainment Of The Above Objects.
