Year ended 30[th] September 2025
Introduction
This is AFPA (“Asset Finance Professionals Association”) Trust Ltd’s 2025 annual report covering the accounts for the year ended on 30[th] September 2025 and also comparatives for the years ended 30[th] September 2024 and 2023.
Report from the Chairman
Over the last few years since COVID AFPA Trust has become the “Go to” organization for charity in our Industry and to promote networking and good causes together. Furthermore we have increased significantly the value of what we can raise in the way of charitable funds and do more good for those who need it. We have increased the frequency and nature of the events have been organized and as a result significantly increased our charitable donations. Total income has increased from £53,099 in the year to 30[th] September 2023 to £78,770 in 2023/24 and £153,437 in 2024/25. During the 2025 calendar year we have supported 45 great charities with total donations of £160,398 an all time record. This includes donations that did not go through the Accounts.
The main events that took place in the year to 30[th] September 2025 were as follows:
-
In December there was the Annual Christmas Drinks at Langan’s Brassiere in Mayfair London. The total amount raised at this event was £14,050. The total paid over to The Ambulance Staff Charity (“TASC”) was £10,000 which included what TASC raised themselves at the event.
-
In March 2025 there was the 1[st] large IWD lunch event. Total income raised from the event was £27,013. After paying the venue “The Royal Overseas League” for the event a donation of £5,000 was made to the Fawcett Society
-
In May 2025 the 3[rd] annual “Big Quiz” night took place. We raised in total £22,461 and after paying our host for the night “The Royal Overseas League” we were able to donate £16,500 to 4 different charities ie. £10,000 to “De Paul UK”, £4,000 to the “Unbeatable Eva Foundation”, £1,500 to the “Coach Core Foundation,” and £1,000 to the “Dylan Strong Foundation”.
-
The Annual Summer Drinks were held at Home House, Portman Square on 7[th] August 2025. The total amount raised at this event was £7,739 which meant that a donation of £10,000 could be made to St Michael’s Hospice which includes what the latter raised themselves at the event.
-
The 2[nd] AFPA Trust Big Golf Day took place in July at the Berkshire Golf Club. £10,470 was donated to eight Charities including £4,400 to the “Thames Hospice” and £2,400 to “SPLIT”.
-
The 1[st] Big Cycle took place at the beginning of October 2025. £31,092 was raised in donations and joining fees partly covering the total costs of £38,546.
-
Donations were paid out to 10 Charities totalling £7,400 over the 2024 Christmas period as part of the “12 Days of Christmas” initiative.
2025 was the 2[nd] year of the Charity Partner Program. A Platinum Charity Partner made an annual donation of £10,000, a Gold Partner £2,000, a Silver Partner £1,000 and a Bronze Partner £500. Partners receive priority booking and pricing discounts at AFPA’s events. In total £41,000 was raised by this Program. Many thanks to Lti Technology Solutions, Paragon and
Propel Finance who became Platinum Partners; Grenke, Netsol and Novuna who became Gold Partners; Haydock Finance, VIP Apps and Acquis Insurance who were Silver Partners and our Bronze Partners Compass Business Finance, Invigors and Woodhurst.
As a principle it is AFPA Trust’s strategy to break even financially each year and keep its costs to a minimum. None of the Trustees receive any remuneration for the work they perform for AFPA. The only significant expenses (except for the costs associated with holding events) are for Website hosting which for the year to 30[th] September 2025 was £1,039 and a charge of £1,300 for the new website design.
For the year to 30[th] September 2025 AFPA made an operating surplus of £8,454. The main reason for this surplus was that income from the Big Cycle was received before the end of the financial year while costs associated with this event were paid out after the end of financial year in October.
Finally as always I would like to thank all the Trustees of AFPA Trust for their hard work and support throughout the year.
Robert Taylor Chair 27[th] April 2026.
