To preserve and protect the physical and mental health of people affected by DYRK1A syndrome (a genetic disorder) through the provision of advice, information and support. 


We are a very small charity set up by parents of DYRK1A affected individuals. 

The purpose of the charity remains to initiate fundraising and encourage other families of affected people to do so, primarily to fund annual meet-ups in the UK to share information and knowledge about our loved ones. 

The charity remains very small and donations are still low value and from fundraising only, on an intermittent basis. We do not expect this to change in the near future. 

The main achievement has been being able to resume plans for annual family meet-ups post Covid-19. We are also continuing to support and encourage other families to fundraise. 

As a small charity we do not have any fundraising or performance related targets or objectives. 



The charity does not have a reserves policy. Any funds raised are held in the charity bank account until such time they are needed to cover the cost of annual events.
