We sort through donated teddies & toys ensuring they are a high qualty. Any not of a sufficient qualty or which have been defaced in some way are either repaired, recycled or donated to other chartties wrthin the area. All teddies donated are washed, dried and stored unbl needed, in 2025 this equated to approx..4000 teddies. tif ali milies All children requiring support from The Toy Appeal are referred to us via their school, S(￿31 worker or food bank The Toy Appeal liaises only through these methcmjs and does not engage directly wrth the children or their families. We run several volunteer days across a year. l ) Sort day at the storage facilty - usually in January to take deliver of large volumes of purchased toys 2) Sort day at the storage facility - usualty in February to sort any donated teddies into age groups. 3) Toy sack creation days for ages O 10 12 years. where we pre make all the toy sacks for these ages and leave them in storage unb'l we distnbute them in early De￿Mber. To date we have provided our toy sacks to 75.000 children. The Toy Appeal bring joy to not only the children and families we support, but also to those who support us and know what a drfFeren￿ they are making to a child who doesn't expect any presents to open on Christrnas moming. Section E Financial review Brief statement of the charlty's policy on reserves Any funds not used in the current year are held in reserve at the end of the each year to enable us to purchase toys with the Toy wholesalers early. We always ty to ensure we have some funds to COMTnen￿ the following year, as due to the number of children we support and the number of toys. books and teddies required, we need to pla￿ toy orders with the Vtholesalers in Q1 to ensure they can meet our demand.
