|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|Throughout the year we have delivered<br>lifesaving training sessions for our 145<br>members (specifically adult and nipper<br>training). We have provided Beach Patrol<br>training for our volunteers and the wider<br>community and carried out a significant<br>number of beach patrols (out of hours and<br>supporting the RNLI at busier periods). We<br>have worked with local businesses,<br>community organisations, the RNLI and<br>National Trust to help spread information<br>and awareness on water safety. We provide<br>first aid cover for village events and run first<br>aid courses for our local community<br>including defib usage. Over the<br>summer/Autumn  our volunteers carried out<br>over 402 hours of beach patrols, dealing with<br>56 assists and rescues and 1139 advisories.<br>Number of rescues recorded with SLSGB 17<br>Over 1051 hours of volunteering.|
