The following trustees held office throughout the financial year 2024 Chair: Brian Johnson Treasurer: Dermot Preston Secretary: Pauline Ong Murray Nee Joyce Barclay Allan Jepson Michael Corlett

In accordance with the constitution, three trustees, Dermot Preston, Joyce Barclay and Allan Jepson stepped down at the AGM of the Friends of Didsbury Park in March 2024. All trustees were re-elected by the members for a further term.

An additional trustee, Louise Lyne was appointed in August 2024.

Principal Activity:

The principal activity of the Friends of Didsbury Park is the maintenance and improvement of Didsbury Park.

Operations Report :

2024 has been another successful year for the Friends of Didsbury Park. During the summer the Friends of Didsbury Park were invested with the Kings Award for Voluntary Service. This award had been announced on the Kingโ€™s Birthday in November 2023 and is equivalent to an MBE for groups. It is the highest award a volunteer group can receive in the UK.

The Friends of Didsbury Park were also awarded a gold award by the RHS as part of the Britain in Bloom competition.

During 2024 the Friends of Didsbury Park undertook 7204 hours of volunteer work in Didsbury Park and as a result many significant projects to improve Didsbury Park were successfully completed.
