Charity Number 1179037 ## **Go MAD UK Trustee Report 2022** In 2022, Go MAD UK raised £19,659.52 to fund our ongoing work in the Dominican Republic. ## **Ongoing Ministry/Programs** Our fundraising facilitated the operating of 2 medical clinics, in Esperanza and Severet, which each opened one day per week, treating patients of all ages as a primary healthcare facility. In total, the clinics saw an average of 48 patients per week. Our funds help to provide essential medication to those in need – especially patients with chronic health conditions, such as high blood pressure and diabetes. Go Mad UK funds enabled a school bus to operate throughout the school year, taking students from Esperanza village to Secondary School for free. When the new school year began in September, we had to increase to 2 bus trips each day as there were 64 students using the bus each day. Our funding supported the preschool program in Esperanza and Severet Vilalges. These preschools operate half day, and serve 34 children ages 2-4. We were paying the teacher salaries, but this was taken over part way into 2022 by a sponsor from the USA. UK funds continue to supply materials, cleaning products, electricity for these programs. We are now funding 3 university students for their university tuition fees and course materials. We continue to give financial support to Nazareth House, home to children and young adults with disabilities. We sponsor care staff salaries, electricity and other household bills. This is where the buik of Go MAD UK funding goes. ## **Additional Accomplishments** In 2022 we were able to complete the renovation work at Nazareth House, transforming garage space into dormitories, and making the home more fit for purpose. This work took a long time. Go MAD UK applied to Stewardship for an International Partner Account for Fundacion Go MAD Dominican Republic – to enable funds to be raised online, gift aid to be claimed and funds to be sent directly to our partner organization in the Dominican – the application was successful and the vast majority of funds will now be raised via Fundacion Go MAD Dominican Republic directly. ## **Go Mad UK - Summary of Accounts – Calendar year 2022** ||**Sum of Value**
