Tewkgsbury Methodlst Church Annual report 20121 This last year has been a mlxed year wlth Covld continulng to affect our seNices, our activities and our finances. We faced mLJch uncertainly about how many would want to return to church Ilfe and indeed how many would want lo contlnue In Ih8ir various roles. We continued lo press ahead with our Welcome Space project perceiving a growing need for our mission intentions, these being to offer a warm w&lcome space to all but in particular Ihose who find It dlfficull to be accepled for a variety of reasons. We continue lo seek to become a church whols règlstered as an Incluslve Church. Durlng the restrfctlons worshlp and church activitles contlnued as best thèy could, online and withln the community 6speclally for thos6 who were isolating or isolated. Shopping, prescriptions and other errands were carri8d out, calls made, letters sent and as best as we posslbly could the church pulled together to do whatever It could to help. Easter In partlcular brought a very Invenllve walk of wltness by Churches Together In whlch each church presented a partlcular slallon and Indlvlduals could follow the tra51 around 81 any tlm6 durlng holy w6ek and the followlng week,. for those who did not want to venture out the tra51 could bè followed online. As restrfctlons began to Ilft peoplè véntured back to worshlp, albeit with reslricted numbers and wllh covld safe measures. On the 19th July 811 rastricllons were lifted and since then our numbers in church have grown and some of our activities have returned. Our lettings are also increasing and we hope thal this will positively impact our finances as the year unfolds. During covld our webslte was rebulll and updated and will soon be avallable to go live. It has been good to see a conslderable number of regular newcomers In the$e18sI few months. We hope that this trènd continues and that we can look fO￿ard to growth in this coming year as we begin lo fully reopen and focus on our Welcome Space project which will focus our mlssion right in Ihe heart of Tewkesbury Town.
