## **Achievements and performance** 



||Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|**Due to the Covid 19 pandemic the way that**<br>**the charity worked was altered, we were**<br>**far more limited in our outreach methods**<br>**as a result of restrictions and sensitivities**<br>**to Covid.**<br>**We utilised networking and social media,**<br>**Particularly local groups in Reading to**<br>**promote our services and recruit**<br>**volunteers**<br>**We were successful in obtaining funding**<br>**for Covid 19 assisting charities and were**<br>**able to obtain sufficient supplies and items**<br>**to support over 250 people as well as reach**<br>**over 7,000 homes in Reading central via**<br>**door to door interaction.**<br>**We facilitated the distribution of over 1,000**<br>**hygiene kits, including masks & sanitiser.**<br>**We responded to over 300 requests for**<br>**support. This including but not limited to**<br>**Clothing, sanitary products, toothbrushes,**<br>**toothpaste, hygiene wipes, shopping and**<br>**emotional support.**<br>**42 Care parcels have been given to the**<br>**homeless.**<br>**income for homeless care packages in**<br>**winter was facilitated by Easy Fundraising.**<br>**Due to funding we were able to facilitate the**<br>**costs associated with recruiting**<br>**50 new volunteers, many of whom signed**<br>**up as a result of a campaign via facebook.**<br>**Volunteers offered help in accordance**<br>**with the areas they lived in as they were**<br>**familiar with who**<br>**needed support in their areas.**<br>**Due to restrictions we have not been as pro**<br>**active with the freedom on the**<br>**street to speak to members of the public at**<br>**random as we usually would. However with**<br>**regard to restrictions we were able to offer**<br>**reactive help to those in need of support,**<br>**befriending and assistance. We often**<br>**signposted vulnerable and isolated people**<br>**to other organisations such as local police**<br>**or the NHS if matters were outside of our**<br>**support remit.**<br>**Care and support has been given to**<br>**those unable to leave home by shopping**<br>**for them and collecting prescriptions.**|
