address al which the Charity can be contacted is its registered office. 23 Rands Clough Drive,

2 Structure, Govornanco and Management
The Charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisatlon and on 29 June 2018 it wa8 entered on the
Register of Charits'es held by the Charities Commission (England and Wales), registered number
1178996. 11 is governed by ils Constitution whlch became effe¢tive on that date, New Trustees are
appointed by existing Trustees.
The Trustees have given consideratSon to thè risks to which the Charity is exposed and satisfied
themselves that systems or procedures are in place lo manage those risks. WSlhin that review, the
Trustees reviewed the adequacy of CUCT'S internal controls. Appropriate insurance ￿Ver has been
purchased.

The Trustees are r8sponsible for preparing the Tnjstees, Report and Financial Statements in accordance
with appli¢abl8 law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounting Praclicel. The law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the Trustees to
prepare flnancial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the stste of affairs of
the charity a3 al the balance Sheet dale and of the incoming resources and application of resources,
includin9 the income and expenditure, for that year.
In preparing the hnancial statements, the Trustees are required lo
select suitable accountin9 policies and apply Ihem consistently.,
observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP",
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.,
Slate whether applicable accounling standards have been followed, subject lo any departures disclosed
and explaine<l in the financial statgmenls,. and
prepare the financial statements on the going COn￿M basis unless it is inappropriate lo presume that the
charity will continue in operatson.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy
al any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements
comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charities IAccounls and Reports) Regulations and the provisions of
Its conslilulion. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and for taking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

4 Objects and Aclivltles
The object of the Charity is for the public benefit lo advance education and leaming anywhere in the
world, in particular, bul nol limited to, among the people of the Holy Land irrespective of their
religion, gender, elhni¢ily. age or sexual orienlalion. The Charity may not authorise an application
of ils assets for purposes which are not charitable.
In particular, the Charity has power to support 8ethlehem University and all similar institutions with
which Bethlehem University has fomal and informal relationships for the benefit of humanity. The
Charity has Bethlehem University as Ils prima beneficiary.
The Trustees have complied with their duty to have due regard to public benefit guidance produc8d
by the Charity Commission.
Funds are raised by donations from benefactors.

t)onalions during th8 year have been made by standing order, by bank transfer or cheque on
receipt of issues ol Belhlehern University Nèws. Ther8 is close contact with sevaral members of
staff al Bethlehem University.

During the year, éonations of £55,875 12023, £66,160) and gift aid of £2,91512023.' £1,417) were
rèceived. Donations ol £57,185 12023.. £66,256) were made lo Bethlehem University. After
expenses, there was a deficit of £Nil12023'. £Nill.
Al the end of the year, the Charlty had nel assets of £ Nil12023 net assets of £ Nill.
7 ReB•rvfjJ Poll¢y
The Trustees will, in future year5, build up reserves so that, at the end of any financial year, there are
sufficient reserves lo carry out the proposed activities for the following year In January 2022 the CharSly
received funding of £4,500 from Bethlehem University lo fund running costs for the coming years, There is
a balance of £390 remaining12023.' £19931 and this is shown as deferred Income on the Balance Sheet.

I report to the Trustees on my examination of the financial statements of Friends of Bethlehem UnNersity, GB
Charity I'the Charity'l for the year lo 31 December 2024, wh￿h are set out on pages 5 to 7.
Responsibilities and basis of ￿pOrt
As the trustees of the Charity. you are responsible for the preparation of th& financial statements in accordance
with the requirem8nls of the Charrties Act 2011 {'the ACVI.
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity's financial statements Carried out under section 145 of the
Act. In carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act.
Independent examiner's ststement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters havè come lo my attention in connection
with the examination givlng ma cause lo believe that in any material respect.. 111 accounting records were not
kept in respect of the Charity as requSred by $e¢lSon 130 of the Act,. or121 the financial statements do not accord
with those records., or {31 the financial statements do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the
form and content of fi'nancial statements sel out in the Charities {Accounls and Reports) Regulations 2008 other
than any requirement that the financial slatem8nls give a 'true and fail view which is not a matt8r considered as
part of an independent examination.
I have no Concerns and have Come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which
attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper unéerstanding of the financial statements lo
be reached.
