2 Structure, Governance and Managemont
The Charity Is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and on 29 June 2018 it was entered on the
Register of Charities held by the Charities Commission (England and Walesl, registered number
1178996. It is governed by its Conslilulion which became effective on that dale. New Trustees are
appointed by existing Truslees
The Trustees have given consideration lo the risks lo which the Charity is exposed and satisfied
themselves that systems or procedure5 are in place to manage those risks Within that review, the
Trustees reviewed the adequacy of CUCT'S internal controls. Appropriate Insuran￿ cover has been
purchased.
3 Trustees, Responslbllltles
The fruslees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and Financial Slalements in accordance
wilh applicable law and Uniled Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted

The object of the Charity is for the public benefit to advance education and learning anywhere in thè
world. in particular, bul not limited to, among the people of the Holy Lan¢ .r￿spective of the1r
religion, gender, ethnicity, age or sexual orientation. The Charity may not aulI￿rISe an application
of ils assets for purposes which are not charitable.
In particular the Charity has power to support Bèlhlehern University and all similar inslilulions with
which Bethlehem Universty has formal and Informal rèlationships for the benefit of humanity. The
Charity has Bethlehem University as itg prime beneficiary.
The Trustees have complied wilh their duty lo have due regard to public benefit guidance produced
by the Charity Commission.

5 Achievements and Performance
Donations during the year have been made by standing order, by bank Iransler or cheque on
receipt of issues ol Bethlehem University New5. There 15 close contact with several members ol
staff al Bglhlehern University.

expenses, there was a deficit of £1.11212020.' £9921.

I report to the Trustees on my examination of the financial slalements of Friends o18elhlehem University, GB
Charity I'lhe Charity'l lor the year to 31 DeeÈmber 2021, which are set out on pages 5 to 7.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the Iruslees of the Charity. you are responsib￿ for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance
with the requirements of the Chaiilie5 Act 2011 I'lhe Acl'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity's financial slalements carried out under section 145 of the
Act. In carrying out my examination. I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 145lSllbl of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed rny examination. I confirm that no material matters have come lo my attention in connection
with the examination giving me caus8 to believe that in any material respect.. 111 accounting re¢orrls were not
