Due December 2024 - _voted to extend by 3 years to January 2027 – will become chair on Christina Rogers stepping down._ ## **Background** **PRO TERRA SANCTA UK** , was **granted Charitable status on 27 JUNE 2018 with the Charities Commission UK** with registered **Charity Number 1178965.** ## **The objects of the charity are, for the public benefit:** To foster bonds between the Holy Land and the World through Emergency relief, Humanitarian, and medical assistance for all those in need, the preservation and development of the artistic, archaeological and cultural heritage of the Holy Land, and through Education and assistance to build hope for a future of peace and development for all. The activity of Pro Terra Sancta is offered to all irrespective of religion or circumstance. Docusign Envelope ID: 47102191-E20E-4D18-B84D-C86171D86398 ## **Activity** Over the period PTS UK have sought to expand supporter networks to raise funds to support activities in order to deliver the Public Benefit Objects of the charity. The formalised Advisory board which includes; Baroness (Helen) Liddell, Antoine Mattar, Stephen Byers, Gabriella Solaro and Father Luke continue to be an important sounding board. Whilst the board have no formal role within the charity, the Trustees have looked to them as a sounding board away from the main Trustee board and this is incorporated into our policies, which were reviewed, extended and updated in October 2024. Costs have been kept to an absolute minimum with limited expenses related to a mailbox, virtual office and other mandatory expenses. ## **Financial Review** All staff within the UK are now volunteers. We were able to attract a small number of new donors. Costs are kept to a minimum, with a small amount being spent on office and phone rental (which will stop in 2025). Independent examiners report – Not required for this accounting year. ## **Plans for the future** The plan for 2025 is to continue to build the online presence and raise the profile of the charity in the UK, through events and continuing the growth in donations. An expanded Trustee board is planned for 2025 and with a planned focus on the Terra Sancta Museum and the Magnificat Institute of Music.
