Demand for the WWR ran8e of services has Continued to grow as we progressed through the nnancial period
from Detember 2023 to March 2025. Visibllkty and reco8nirion of the oryanisatlon and tts wor* alg) rnntln￿eS
to grow in the professional RadKilo8y community, allowing us to draw on an ever larger neiwork of sUPPOrters
and expert volunteers.
In line with the above. oui key Point of Ca￿ Uftrasound and Radld08y programs in Ghana, hlalawl and The
Gambia have contlnued to expand, along with our volunteer base. Importantly. the number of In￿untry
vdunteers Irom our alumni and partnershlp networks 15 also irKrea%ng. ￿lo￿n8 us to continue delwering
large Impa£t on patlent care at low marginal cost.

This perlod we wmpleted the fourth and final year of our ujrrent point of Ca￿ ultrasound IPOCUSI tralnin8
Pr￿r￿mMe In Ghana and were deli4hted to be able to suc£essfvlly pilot a new POCUS course specificallv
targeted at child-health professlonals sn this last year.
We tralned upa further 12doctors. bringingthe total to 40 since In￿PtIon of the programme in 2021. Increasin
access to POCUS enhanced dlagnosls for8(KK) patlents each year.
In line %*ith our5trategic plan. we are Lvrtently in the prQ￿eSS of a full programme impart evaluation. which will
inforrn the ne*c POCUS programme cyde, together with our Ghanaian partners.
The MaluwlRudlology Colktborathi Prwmme
We continue to support the new Malawi post-8raduate RadkJlo8Y tralnlng programme, started In 2022. WWR Is
the major partner of the Universrtydeliveringthis programme thmugh volunteer exwt education activities and
fiindralsing support.
Last perfod our remote educatlon team grew from I to 10 volunteers. Thi5 team of experts has now delivered
numerous lomial lectures and case based teathlng sesslons overthi5 perK)d. a5 well a5 provided expert second
opinions for complex patlent cases. Three volunteers also $e￿-fUnded v151ts for hand5-(sn 5k1115 trdinlng. Enabllng
6 trdlnee radiologists to perform image guided pracedures. such as biopsies and abscess drainages.
The newly implernented pro-bono CT reporting service again grew frorn strength to strength, wth a totsl of
approx. 5L)O paiients receiwng expert reports by Intematfional volunteers in the currÈht reporting period.
A research study tD ￿lUate Ehis prtrbono servtte has been completed and will be submltted for scientlfic
publication. As the Malawi Ministry of Health implements its roll out of more and new Radiology
equipment, ourTeleradSology pilot has attracted interest from the Ministry.
Based on the succes5 of thLs rer￿te ￿repOrtIng service. we have started a new pilot project at the hospital, in
Collabordtlon wlth the Bri115h Sodety of Urogynaecology Radiology and Malawian Cancer Specialist5'. Setting up
remote support for the Gynaecological cancer MullidisapliTrary team meetlng. Offering expert input to
treatment planning for 5 complex patients every week.

It was decided to change the accounting year end to 31 Marth to align with the financlal year. This has meant

WWR funding for both operational and field pro8rams is highly dependent on both donatlons and grant giving

As our programme5 are currendy focussed on Radiology specialist trainln8 and Polnt of care ultrasound for

grow our programme5 and volunteer base and are exploring diversifying our offer to a new group of Imaging

continue to look for ways to engage with us or to extend existing collaboratlons Into the futu￿.
We contlnue to see evldence that the fiekl of Itnwng diagnostics 15 being Increasingty understood to be 3 vitsl
element of care in low resource setttngs. We have made the planned Strides in developing monitoring and
eydluation tools and in strengthening our funding ￿atrOM7 dUri￿thIs year and will continue wlth thls work as
