## **Section C                    Objectives and activities**

## **1) House2Home** 

We care Foundation receive funding from the Home office (via Bristol City Council) we are responsible for furnishing homes for the resettlement program. We Care foundation ensure the house meets the families individual and vulnerable needs. Prior to covid we attempted to source some of furniture from donations, up cycled, charity shops. We worked closely with Council policies promoting the protection of the environment. Covid imposed many restrictions. We were able to continue working on this basis, as we required substantial storage space, more volunteers and time consuming. We now provide a higher level of service, we provide furniture purchased from trade supplier who supply slight seconds as well as new. The project is grant funded the project allows costs for tradesmen’s, storage, and a small cost for staff. Our staff and volunteers within this project offer their services at a concession allowing them to support the charity with their time and services. This allows us to provide the family with an outstanding home that is a safe sanctuary and delivery below budget. Total number of homes 30 

## **2)Yemen Bakery** 

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

Our bakery in Yemen continues to support the neediest families. Due to financial and local supply logistics our Bakery was closed for 5 months between (September 2021- March 2021) we were able to reopen. Our partners on the Ground HND provide us with daily updates. In addition to this a UK volunteer carried out a number on unaccounted visits and we are satisfied with the delivery of this project. 300 families receive a daily supply of bread for their family. 

## **3)Yemen Ramadan Appeal** 

Yemen beneficiaries received cash distributions of 100usd each. House to house visit was carried out in addition to our local partners making journeys to families living in the deserts. Families: 380 **4)Empower orphans Yemen** Empowering Orphans with education and training, provisions, accommodation. 

## **5)Building a hospital in Yemen** 

Funds have been collected over the last few years wanting to build a local 

medical centre. The medical centre will be supporting local villages who are not able to reach medical assistance. 1000s of beneficiaries will utilise this free centre. We are currently holding funds until we can reach funds for phase one. 

## **6)Cake4Charity** 

Our volunteer wanted to give back and help support our work. She has a passion for baking. She baked caked throughout the year allowing us to use funds to support our cases. Her efforts allowed us to support

beneficiaries with life changing treatments in India and Pakistan, and Nigeria, education fees, food for orphans, widows and the sick. **7) India** 

Our Local volunteers identify beneficiaries within their local vicinity. The beneficiaries would otherwise struggle if we did not support them. This year we were able to empower some individuals, offer support towards education fees, support families living in slums, support pregnant women, rebuild a home and roof, and life changing medical treatment. We use the gift aid to pay fees, volunteer costs in host country, transport cost, and thru balance is used to further our objectives and we use the funds to support additional beneficiaries. 

## **8) Give Water – India** 

We installed 22 taps in rural villages around Bihar India. The tap benefitted 10000s of individuals.  Gift aid was used to support sick and widows in the village and pay council tax for a family struggling in the UK. 

## **9) Fidya distribution – India** 

Providing meals for families who are living in Indian slums during Ramadan. 

## **10)  Education4India** 

We were hoping to educate and empower young children with education. The students were selected from the slum to stay in a boarding school. Due to local restriction we have not been able to implement this project we hope delivery on this next year. 

## **11) Gaza** 

Our local partners on the ground identify families in need allowing us to make funds available for restricted projects. In May 2021 the country faced inability to move as a result our Zakat distribution was delayed for a month. Once movement saw safe the distribution took place. **12) Rebuild Gaza** In May 2021 Gaza was under attack, The effects left already suffering families forced to rent alternative accommodation. Some families were able to remain in the homes but their essential household items destroyed. We were able to support families with white goods, blankets, mattresses, rugs, gas cylinders. **13) Volunteer fundraisers rebuild Gaza** A local volunteer wanted to educate her network on the pain and suffering of those affected by war. Medical supplies were provided to 25 beneficiaries. **14) We Share Smiles** This project celebrates birthdays of a child with children in developing countries, and street children. We celebrated a trustee Childs birthday in India Slums, Yemen orphans, Gaza stripe, Entertainment, food and gifts, money was gifted to the children.

We care foundation is a woman lead international charity. We are a **Summary of the main** platform for passionate women who wish to lead, give, impact life, and **achievements of the charity during the year** make a difference in society. We care aims to respond by alleviating poverty, empowering, and looking at sustainable development. We welcome and reach out to those in 3rd world countries. We aim to reach communities and individuals who cannot access emergency relief. We approach our projects with passion and pride ourselves on transparency. Our donations are followed thoroughly. We use local volunteers to carry out due diligence for anyone that reaches out to us and ensure funds are carefully monitored. Our CEO personally travels to countries that are safe making sure your donations are spent as we have promised. We care foundations approach is a grass root, however, we have been blessed in supporting and reaching to those in an emergency all over the world. We care prides Ourselves in building partnerships with well-established local charities on the ground. This allows us to use the infrastructure already in place allowing us to concentrate on collecting your donations and reaching those in need almost immediately without duplicating efforts and more importantly utilizing local knowledge from our partners in making sure your donations are spent wisely and correctly allowing us to minimize project costs and having a greater impact All our UK volunteers are 100% volunteers including the CEO. Shazia Malik says “when I am on the ground at a time of a crisis, I cannot justify using donations to pay for my lifestyle, knowing how comfortable I am back home” she further adds “Since leaving my career to embark on this special journey I know I am privileged to have the opportunities Allah has blessed me with” The charity’s work has made a significant positive impact to the lives of the people in terms of their health & living standards. We as a trustee of the charity are very much satisfied with the charitable projects and work carried out in the whole year and very grateful to make a positive difference to society. Huge numbers of beneficiaries have been reached out by the different charity projects. We are very hopeful to continue the charity’s work and changing the lives in the wider society and continue to do amazing things for the humanity

The tap benefitted 10000s of individuals. Zakat al fitar- India Families living in the slums were provided with £5.00<br>Activity 11 worth of rice. 955 955<br>Qurbani India- Meet distribution to families living in Indian slums. 100s of<br>Activity 12 families were provided with provisions. 1960 1,960<br>Pakistan- We have supported isolated families who have been identified<br>via our support network as beneficiaries. Funds have been granted to<br>Activity 13 support hospital fees, cargo cost, and rent. 805 805<br>Activity 14 Syria- We supported orphans and widows with cash distribution 2685 2,685<br>Rohingia Fire Appeal- Funds were collected to support families affected<br>on the ground after a fire cost the homes of 1000s living in Bangladesh.<br>Due to covid restrictions our trustee was unable to travel to the host<br>country. Money transfer limitations prevented the distribution to take<br>place. We were able to transfer the funds in July 2022. Distribution took<br>Activity 15 place supported families affected by the flood in sylhet. 0 -<br>Gaza- Our local partners on the ground identify families in need allowing<br>us to make funds available for restricted projects. In May 2021 the country<br>faced inability to move as a result our Zakat distribution was delayed for a<br>Activity 16 month. Once movement saw safe the distribution took place. 15350 15,350<br>Rebuild Gaza- In May 2021 Gaza was under attack, The effects left<br>already suffering families forced to rent alternative accommodation. Some<br>families were able to remain in the homes but their essential household<br>items destroyed. We were able to support families with white goods,<br>Activity 17 blankets, mattresses, rugs, gas cylinders. 17942 17,942<br>Volunteer Fundraiser Rebuild Gaza- A local volunteer wanted to educate<br>her network on the pain and suffering of those affected by war. Medical<br>Activity 18 supplies were provided to 25 beneficiaries. 900 900<br>Cycle for Gaza- A Syrian Refugee wanted to raise awareness of those<br>suffering and having to live in conflict. Once a refugee himself who had<br>fled Syria to Germany raised funds for much needed meat distributor in<br>Activity 19 Gaza.  2022 2,022<br>We Share Smiles- This project celebrates birthdays of a child with<br>children in developing countries, and street children. **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
