The church IHounslow Evangelical Church) was established as a Charitèble Incorporated
Organisation (charity no. 11788541 under a constitution first adopted on 29th April 2018
which contains the main legal provisions 8overning the Church, its purposes and Basis of
faith and its power5. Under the Constitution, the people with the responsibility for the
general control and management of the administration of the Chvrch are known as the
charity trustees.
The Charity is administered by an Executive Cornmittee. consi5tin8 of the Officers and
Committee Members of the Church, hereafter known as the Trustees. The Trustees now

management of the Church.

The Deacons were Mrs Salome Kuchipudi, Miss Natslie Francis, MT Elston Fernandes and
Mlss Suhaslnl Raja.

The purposes of the church are=
11 The advancement of the Christian Faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith primarlly
but not excluslvely within Hounslow and the surrounding neighbourhood, and

practice the Chrlstian Faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith. including but not limited to
the prevention and relief of need. hardship and sickne55: the advancement of education,.
and the provision of facilities in the interests of Social welfare for recreation or other leisure
time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age
infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving
their condition of life provided that the advancement of such purpose5 must be undertaken
in a manner that is consistent with the dottrinal distinrtives and ethical statements as may
be adopted and amended by the church from time to time in accordance with the provlsions
of the church handbook.

In achievin8 these aims the Trustees met quarterly and the Elders and Deacons monthly. At
these meetin85, regular reports reviewin8 progress were received and arted upon.
Hounslow Evangelical Church IHECI continues to look for ways of Involvin8 the wlder church
family through worship and social interaction. Some local. national and international
charities are generously supported through a tithe on church offerings and from communlon
offerings.

vements and Performanc
Membefshl Hounslow Evangelical Church IHECI currently have 43 members, an increase
of 5 members on the previous year. and 2 associate members. It is aff iliated to the
Federatlon of Independent Evan8elical Churches IFIECI and the Evangelical Alliance. It also
has links with local FIEC churches. There have been 2 baptlsms of our teenagers over the
year which we thank God.
Wo
i. Sunday morning services are flourishing, and thi5 is very encouraging. Numbers
attending the public services continue to increase to approximately 90 people per week.
Topics for sermons have included a series on religions and reli8ioU5 beliefs. the Fall, Creatlon,
seeking wisdom, suffering, the Lord's Prayer, Forgivene5S.
We have 8one through the books of Matthew. Job, John and received training on sharlng the
Gospel from a HEC memberwho is working with London City Mission.
Children's groups run weekly for 3-13-year-olds. The teenagers are enjoying learning more
about faith, baptism. and taking opportunitie5 to discover, develop and share their gifts in all
aspects of their lives. In the coming year, there could be an opportunity to start an After
School Club which will be open to all teenagers to attend on a weekly basis, as a result of the
partnership commenced with London City Mission. We have Sunday evenings services on a
monthly basis. Approximately 25 people have attended these. Attendance5 have been
higher Iclose to 50 people) for our Praise & Worship nights.

Prayer remains very important. In addition to monthly prayer evening5 held in person. there
have been fortnightly times of prayer in.per50n and two prayer chains on WhatsApp. Prayer
also forms a significant part of our services. fel10v￿h1P groups and other meetings.

the Gos
I: We have four in-person Fellowship groups Met weekly where
participants could share. learn, ask questions and grow in the faith,- and the Mondav
mornin8 group continues to see more numbers attending and more people are also
attending the 2 Tuesday evening groups. The Wednesday group continues to thrive and is
8rowin8 in the discipleship and encouragement of people in their faith. The Young Adults
8roup is a mlnistry that we aim to have a fresh look at in the new year. The purpose of thls
group is to help 205 and 30s in church on deepening their faith. The Men's 8roup continues
to meet quarterly and foster engagement amon8 those in the group. Their will be a focus on
Prayer and engaging men in followin8 God'5 purpose for them. The Ladies, group have
launched a new ministry which provides for those who are more in need. This has helped
some women in the church to serve and develop in different ways. There have also been
some outings arranged over the year which have been well attended.
A group from the church go onto Hounslow High Street weekly on Saturdays to share God,
word. sing. share testimonies and pray.
Easter proves to be popular time of year for incre35ed attendance in church and involvement
In the Passion Play organised and ran by a local church with the involvement of other
churches in the local area.
Noah's Ark, the toddlers. group, meets weekly in term-time. The attendee numbers have

fluctuated for different reasons over mainly the 2 half of the year. The leadership of the
gmup and the church are keepin8 an eye on this and also promotin8 the group {leaflets,
online, via social media, Council, other contacts etcl.
Servlces in two care homes in the area continue monthly with more church members taking
part in this outreach.
We also have a church Facebook page and a YouTube channel where people can access
Information and watch vrdeos of the preachin& as well as on the church website.

God's ifts: As the church welcomes new people, Member5 and attendees are
encouraged to use their gifts by volunteering in many spheres of church activity-
Stewarding. refreshments rota, AV operation. Sunday School teaching, leading worship and
small groups, preaching. practical work around the church. cleaning. tsking on leadership
roles, etc. Training is given where appropriate to ensure that we are serving in the right and
best way possible.
We have been, practically. support two outside organisations which cater for the homeless-
Siham's Kitchen and the Olive Branch homeless drop-in, where volunteers assist with the
Tunning of the projects including from our church. The Olive Branch runs twice a week drop-
In where the homele55 are given prartical help. as well as signpostin8 them to addiction
recovery agencies, the local housing department or mental health advice as needed.
Our Praise and Worship evenings are well attended with the opportunity for people to
explore their giftings and serve in areas noi previously considered.
We partner with a range of missionary and humanitsrian worker51 or8anisation5 and IO% of
offering5 is allocated to this work. Collections are also taken up at Communion services to
augment this work.

Premlses: There is an on-going maintenance programme to look after the premises to a
high standard. Regular maintenance and cleaning of the premises is to be important with
members and other5 giving timel skills in service while saving on some professional cost5.
Risk assessments continue to be carried out. We continue to take fire safety and training
seriously and update and share crvcial fire safety infofmationl evacuation plans to ensure
people are aware of what to do in certain situations.
Our premises are used by several other church congregations, with the Chinese church
congregation having used the building on Sundays for over 27 yeèrs. The Chinese help to
keep the church premises clean with some members attending on a separate day to do so.
We have also 83ined a Kenyan con8re8ation who meet monthly on Saturday evenings, and a
Nepalese congregation who meet every Saturday. and who also play a big role in looking
after the grounds (particularly the plants and gardens).

ments: The account5 have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments
basis usin8 the standard form issued by the Charity Commission. Hounslow Evangelical
Church had total receipts of £123,151 during the year 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025and
made total payment5 of £109,275. This resulted in a surplus of £13,876. Thls showed an
increase of about 20% from last year's offering which is attributed to the increase of church
attendees and increase in givin8. Members continued giving in kind to support the various
church activities especially in catering.
The main expenditure is the salary of the pastor and paid helpers. The 8a$ c05t was around
£24K as this included the unpaid gas for Nov 2022 to Mar 2024 due to provider's overs18ht.
To facilitste worship. a substantial amount is spent on church equipment thls year. To
continue the church affirmation of its stewardship of its assets, repairs and maintenance of
both the church buildin8 and propertie5 were not neglected.

HEC continued to support the wider community as its key mission. The
Church contributed around £12k to variou5 missionary societies and relief and humanitsrlan
organizations which 15 doubled from the previous year.

The Church has completed a full update of its Child Protection Policy and undertakes all
necessary trainin& documentation and monrtoring of all who come under this legislation.
The Church has a150 made a detailed assessment of its GDPR responsibilities and produced
consent and privacy statements.

For each financial year ending on 31st March the Trustees are requlred to prepare recelpts
and payment accounts that contain a statement summarising all money received and paid
out by the charity in the financial year and a ststement 8ivin8 details of its assets and
liabilities at the end of the year.
The frustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Church and enable them to
ensure that the financial ststements comply with the law. They are also responsible for
safeguarding the assets of the Church and hence tskin8 reasonable steps for the prevention
and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The Trustee5 are responsible for the maintenance and inte8rity of the corporate and
flnancial inlormation included on the Church's website.
Whilst the training of new trustees is lar8ely 'on the job,, new Trustees will be given all
asslstance to fulfil their duties and responsibilities competentty.
They are also ultimately responsible for all risk assessments including financial rlsk. In
general, it 15 considered that in 'normal' years projected income will meet projected
expenditure on the Church Accounts, whilst the Reserve Fund holds sufflclent funds to meet
exceptional costs.
