Parish Council known as Lol 1 (Pocket
Park), Lot 2 (Outdoor Classroom), Lot 3
and Lot 4 Ipormissive paths). Achieved by
grass cutting, tree folling and pruning,
and further planting of wild flower
meadow land.
Coordinated volunteers to contlnuo
maintenance of St Andrews Church
cemetery by means of grass cutting and
brush cloarance to provlde better access
to graves, Improvernent of access paths
to the church and improved blodlversity
to support restoratlon of wlld flowers.
Continued Improvoment of tourism In and
around Scole by promotlon of the open
spaces and improved pathways, weekly
Iltter picking as well as making use of

technology by using mobile phono Apps
such as Facebook, etc.
Liaising with other groups. District and
County Councils, Scole W.1.. Woodland
Trust, Rlver Waveney Trust, Waveney
Herltage Centre, and the EnviTonment
Agency to maintain and enhance tho
ecology of the Waveney rlver and valley.
Contlnued river fly surveylng lo help
maintain the blodlvorsity of the river and
surrounding countryslde through thls
countrywidè initiatlve. Continuation of
Oxygen Level Surveying of the stretch of
the River Waveney within the area of the
Pocket Park, recordlngs boing submitted
to the EA to help monltor oxygen levels
and possible pollulion incldents.

1. Ouldoor Classroom {Lot 21
The area conlinues to be used by tho
school children, wlth Improvèments to
safety around the slte being applied
whore necessary. We féol that maintalnlng
and providing this lacility will continue to
help the children to appreciate Ihe spaces
around them and therefore be less prone
to vandalism of such areas In future life.
Volunteers have conllnued to keep tho
area maintained to ènsure availablllty
whon needed.
2. Rlver Fly Surveys and Oxygen Level
Surveys
We Continue to undertake surveys on a
monthly basis, where conditions permiL
of river fly population5 in our stretch of
the River Wavenoy. The results are
submttted to a countrywide database and
used to monitor rlvor health throughoul
the counlry in conjunction with the
Environmenl Agoncy.
In addition to the Rlver Fly Surveys our
continued Oxygen Level Surveys are
ongolng In collaboration wlth tho EA. We
carry out a readlng once a week at thro•
points along our stretch of the River
Wav•ney. This has been invaluable in
helping to Identify pollution incldenls on
the rlver sSnce the monitorlng has been in
place.
Both $ur4eys continue to makft surn that

any river pollutlon Is caught at an early
stage and dealt with Immediately in order
to maintain a healthy blodiversity withln
Ihe river and surrounding areas.
Indirectly the health of the river and its
countryside provides a wonderful place
for people to walk and vlew the Ilora and
fauna that surrounds them.
3. Public Areas and Nature Pathways
Another continuou5 task of coordinatlon
of volunloers for clearing and maintalnlng
the public areas and pathways around
and through the village, providing circular
and cross roules throughout the area.
This 15 achieved by means of. woakly
Iltter picking, grass cutttng, hedge
management, pathways maintenance, etc.
Again a fair amount of tree clearance was
carried out throughout the y•ar due to
stomi damage, tree agos and ongolng
safety maintenance.
The result ot thls Is promoting a healthy
lifestyle by means of unhindered walking
and providing a clean and safe place to
come and relax and enjoy the
countrysidè.
4. Car Park Improvements (Pocket Park
CCTV, Norfolk Car Park)
Security In thls area has been improved
by installation of a CCTV camera by the
SNTT and funded by the Parlsh Council.
Thls Is to provlde monitoring of the site
and make users of the park feel safer
during thelr visits. Monitorlng of this 1$
carried out by specific Trustees of the
SNTh on behalf of the Parlsh Councll.
5. Conservation Areas, Trees and
Wildflower ManagemenL
The SNrr help manage volunteers to look
after a number of conservation areas
around the vlllage and in the Pocket Park.
This has involvod Cutting the

conservation areas followed by reseeding
with wild flowers and, where appropriatè,
planting new trees to replace older trees
that had reached end of life, or as a result
of flood damago.
This will provide future growth of new
flora and fauna for visitors to see over the

flourish. This continues our ethos of
providing an area for visitors to vlew,
walk through, and enjoy, Improvlng
overall health and mental well-being.
