## 2. Structure, Governance and Management 

Friends of Red Row is an unincorporated charity governed by a constitution adopted in accordance with the Charities Act 2011. The trustees are elected or appointed in line with the constitution, with regular meetings held to oversee activities and financial decisions. 

The charity works closely with the staff and leadership of Red Row First School to ensure all funds raised are used to directly benefit the pupils and enhance their school experience. 

During the reporting year Sarah Ward joined the trustee board on 10 February 2025. 

## 3. Objectives and Activities 

The charity’s objective is to advance the education of pupils at Red Row First School by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities, resources, and experiences not normally provided by the local education authority. 

To achieve this, Friends of Red Row organises fundraising events and uses the proceeds to support enrichment activities and educational resources for the benefit of all children at the school. 



## 4. Achievements and Performance 

During the reporting year, Friends of Red Row successfully held and benefited from the following fundraising activities: 

- Christmas Raffle 

- School Fair 

- Cake Sale 

- Freeze Pop Sales 

- Easy Fundraising Donations 

- Community Donations 

The funds raised enabled the charity to continue supporting pupil experiences and school activities throughout the year. 

The School Fair and Christmas Raffle were particularly successful events and generated significant income for future projects and educational support within the school. 

These activities not only raised valuable funds but also strengthened community spirit and engagement between parents, staff and pupils. 

## 5. Financial Review 

Income for the year came primarily from fundraising events, donations and online fundraising platforms. Expenditure was focused on supporting fundraising activities and providing opportunities and resources that benefit pupils. 

The trustees aim to maintain a modest reserve to cover the cost of annual events and respond to school requests for support as needed.

- Total Expenditure: £541.93 

- Net Surplus: £2,537.85 

- Closing Balance: £9,071.16

## 6. Reserves Policy 

The charity aims to maintain a reserve sufficient to fund regular annual events and to provide flexibility for future donations to the school. The trustees review the level of reserves annually in line with planned activity and commitments. 



## 7. Plans for the Future 

Friends of Red Row plans to continue its support of the school through regular fundraising events. Planned future activities include: 

- Christmas fundraising activities 

- School community events 

- Ongoing participation in online fundraising platforms 

- Providing further donations for school enrichment activities and educational resources 

The trustees are also exploring ways to increase community involvement and volunteer engagement.
