This reFM)rt covers all &spe¢ts of the pnxeedings of the Barclay 1964 CIO durin8 the year
2023.
The year has been a good year ￿ we were allowed io run all the trains that the Company ran
during the year. This has the effect of allowing the bank account io be built up in readiness for the l O
year overhaul which will be due after 2024 when Ihe Curreni ticket runs out,
On the income side we were back to running nomally withoul an additional engin¢ liired in
for the major period of running in July and August.
As the Charities Commission like io ff¢eive audiled accounts. the accounts for 2023 have
b¢¢n audited by Waeaverwroot (who are the LWR auditors) .Once the audited accounis are
available then they will k pul up on to the Charities eommission web site.

Chairnian's Rewrt:
Mr. Lynn opened the meetin8 by reporting that Spitfire had been used on every
running day so far in 2023. which was a g(KMJ b[K)￿ io the finances of the charity. As we are now
approaching the 10-year overhaul, Mr. Lynn had the meeting to st8rt planning this overhaul.
Finance:
Mrs. Lynn reported thai ihe charity had received totsl income during 2023 of £6,725.41
during 2023. The only expenditUTe has been for the auditing of the accounts by Weaverwroot. This leaves
Ihe current position of the charity as £35,309.39 and a cash of £156.85. Since the previous meeting we
had Shop sales of £50.58, gift aid from th¢ donations of £362.41and a donation of £138.05.
Engineering Mr. Wilson rq)orted the engine the engine had perfornied well during this year having been
used on all ￿rViceS. He hop*d that it would pass il's annual boiler exam in early 2024 to allow il t act as
standby for Lion. assuming Lion is WOTking by then. He sug8esÉed that the boiler should be overhauled off
sit¢ and following the annual exam would request quotes from 2 or 3 boiler repaire￿ names suggested w¢re
J. Varley. Isacc Newton. Heritage Steam Boilffs.
Any other busin¢ss
The engine sh&J ￿[01￿1 had iwi infornied t￿1 Kye had stopped workin8 With th¢
Company and was selling his cngines. Mr & Mrs Lynn had put in an offer which Kye had accepted. The deal
should be complete by 1'uesday. Th¢s¢ engines will eventually bewme part of the charities a&s¢ts. In view of
this it was suggested that w¢ ask Connor and Matt Burton to i*come trust¢es. This was agreed and both were
willing to tske on the role.

Matters Arising
Following ihe lasi meetin8 C. Steveson resigned as a trustee due to ill health.
Chairnlan's Report..
Mr. Lynn opened the meeting by reporting thai spitfi￿ had been used on every

Mrs. Lynn reported thai the charity had received income so far during 2024 of £6707.00.
during 2023. The expenditure so far this year has been auditing of the accounts by Weaverwroot and stsmps.
This leaves the ¢urreiit posilion of the charity as £34,446.85 and a petty cash of £106.50. Since the previous
meeting we had Shop sales of £112.00, and donations of £77.49..

should be complete by Tuesday. These engines may eventually become part of the charitics assets. In view or
this it was su88¢Sted thai we ask Connor and Matt Burton to become trustees. Thi5 was agreed and both were
willing to take on the role.
