The minutes of the previous meeting had ￿en circulated and it was agreed that they W¢Te a true

Mrs Lynn reported that the current financial p)sition was satisfactory we had a balan¢¢ of
£9037.25, however this was a false figure as there were substantial payments to be made within the next
month. It was agreed that Mr. & Mrs. Lytm should be left to sort out how to make these paynlents.
Engineering: J. WilsAyn ￿￿)rted that on investigation into the the IM)X Tunning hot that the twing brasses
ne¢ded replacemeot. This had been sanctioned by the Chatrnian and was going ahead with a ciympletion date
of early April. These would th¢rt ￿ run in gently over a ￿1{￿1 of tirne and it was ho￿1 that the engine
would be available for use in May. The Ix>iier had ￿en inst*ct£d by th¢ insuTanc¢ Ins￿t{￿ and pawd for a
further year.
Fund Raising. Mrs Lynn pU￿hased a further batch of the model and also various Spitfire marked
items, which the company IWJ agreed could be sold in the station shop. This money would be paid directly
into the Barclay CIO A￿unt.

The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated and it was agreal that they were a tn
record of the Meeting-
Matters Arising: There were no mattffs arising from the previous minutes which would nirt ￿ discu&sed
later.
Chairnian's Report:
Mr. Lynn [q￿tted that the running in peri(NJ for the &xle boxes had been successful.
however on the engine being used to top and tail with FulAow as a final test a different problem occurred. He
would like to thank the prompt action frotn the ¢few of Tom Jones & Matt Ril¢y for averting a wlentially
larger problem.
Finance:
Mrs Lynn re￿rted that the current financial p)sttion was s*isfactory we had a balance of
£5.791.23. This would have Imi w0￿e except that Mr. & Mrs. Lynn had d(rfMt¢d £2,750 to pay for the
repaits to the steam PiF¢.
Engtne¢ring: J. Wilson retK)rted that th¢ problem ￿.hICh had 0￿Urred on the final test was that a hol¢ had
appeared in the main steam pipe. Thi5 necessitat￿1 th¢ removal of the old pipe and it's repla¢ement with a
newly manufactured pipe. it was also di%overed that a hole had been blovm in a cast iron pipe (J pipe). This
could be repaired by a specialist firni of welders. Once this had been done and the new pipe arrived on site
the parts were fffitted to the engine and tested. The inspector was the called back to approve the repair which
he did. lThe engin¢ be￿ne avaiIabl¢ for use in late September.
Fund Raising. Th¢ spi￿lre memordbilia on sale in the station shop had brought in some money from their
sale. This money would ￿ paid directly into the Bawlay CIO AccounL

I report on the accounts for the year ended 31st December 2020, which are set out on pages three to six. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'). 

I have examined your charity's accounts as required under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'). In carrying out my examination I have followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act. 

My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe: 

1. that accounting records were not kept as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

2. that the accounts do not accord with those records; or 

3. that the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Act; or 

4. that there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts.

I have completed my examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters (1) to (4) listed above and, in connection with following the Directions of the Charity Commission I have found no matters that require drawing to your attention.

## **1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES** 

## **Accounting convention** 

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008), the Charities Act 2011 and the requirements of the Statement of Recommended Practice, Accounting and Reporting by Charities. 

## **Incoming resources** 

All incoming resources are included on the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is legally entitled to the income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. 

## **Resources expended** 

Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. 

## **Taxation** 

The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities. 

## **Fund accounting** 

Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees. 

Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
