Chairty No. 1178668

Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trsutees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 42(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act) abd that an independent examination is needed.

Its is my responsibilty to:

Examine the accounts under section 43 of the 1993 Act

To follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under Section 43(7) (b) of the 1993 Act, and To state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of Independent Examiner’s Statement

My examination was carried out in accordance with general directions given by the Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present ‘ true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below

Independent Examiner’s Statement

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

  1. Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements;

to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act; and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the requirements of the 1993 Act have not been met: or

  1. To which, in my opion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached

3

Donation received during the year was utilised to creating and hosting events that allowed us to give back to the community and continue to send the message that the Masjid is there for the community to come back and rely on them. Things such as fundraisers and open days at the Masjid where the local community can come down and talk about what the masjid can do to become better in terms of services and opportunities that allows the community to bond together.

Later part of 2018 we started work with demolish of the old Masjid and start of the new multipurpose Masjid rebuilt project which should inshallah be completed in 2020 and all funded by the donation received by the wider community.

Whilst the new Masjid rebuild construction is going on we had to secure temporary premises, so the community can carry on with prayers 5 times a day throughout the year. Prayer services for special occasions such as Eid prayers and children’s madrasah classes.
