**benefit)**|The purpose of Les Petits Bilingues de Newham is the advancement of
education for the public benefit by providing French speaking and non-
French speaking children from the ages of 5 to 16+ living in East
London with lessons in French and other activities outside mainstream
education to help:
- Those with an existing connection with French language, culture and
heritage maintain this connection in the UK and with their extended
families in their countries of origin.
- Bi-national families who are either settled permanently or temporarily in
East London and whose children do not attend French educational
establishments meet their needs and values through the provision of
French cultural support with a focus on improving the children's language
skills, confidence and self-esteem, which in turn will have a further
positive impact on their literacy and speaking skills.
- Extend the achieve these purposes by the use of non-traditional and
playful teaching methods aiming at creating an atmosphere of fun,
engaging students’ creativity in their learning and practice of French

||In the academic year 2020/2021 number of students decreased due to
the restricted number allowed in a classroom.
However, most of our classes benefited from online French activities with
platform such as Google classroom, Kahoot, Padlet.
Online cooking and learning were held to provide our students with
independent learning tools.in French and Linguascope
Furthermore, we grabbed some great opportunities through local
language conferences to build upon some amazing partnerships for the
development of further project ideas related to French language learning
for the benefit our students.
Part of our cultural and French annual celebrations programme “Noël
dans le monde” (Christmas worldwide) our children created Christmas
cards through amazing art and crafts activities and their final work were
shared online.
In terms of planned school trips, we were able to partnership with
Newham local transport group known as DLR to further allow children to
travel in London for educational visits at free of costs.

We approached their services for planning the visit of « Museum of
London in Docklands » « The Crystal » (in Royal Victoria), « Newham
City Farm » (in Beckton).

Several CPD trainings had been offered to the teachers organized by the Parapluie FLAM (Français Langue Maternelle/ French as a Mother Tongue), an association of FLAM schools in the UK. Our volunteers are parents helping in some classrooms, at the library and in the refectory at the Coffee stand.

As part of our cultural and art topic our young pupils took part in a Visual **Summary of the main** art activity in line with: “Bickids” with artist Gustave KLIFFT. **achievements of the charity** Our other older group of students participated to a debating activity on a **during the year** precise topic chosen through « TV5 Monde », « RFI », and « 1Jour 1actu ».
One of our excellent students successfully achieved A* in their French A levels exams and many GSCE students obtained excellent grade in their French exams as well as some more confident even prepared themselves towards the DELF examination thanks to regular attendance and personal efforts put towards the French language learning in our school.
