Provide shelter and care for stray cats for assessment to rehome. Microchip scanning to reunite lost cats and with their owners. Education of the public by raising awareness of all cat welfare issues including general care and healthcare needs, in particular the need to neuter, micro-chip,vaccinate and provide regular flea and VmIng treatment. The trustees have used the guidance of th8 Charity Commission on public benefit during trustees meeting by ensuring decisions are made in accordance wth guidelines. Our programme of trap, neuter and where possible retum has continued sucsSfUllY throughoui the year. We have been asked to help with a Sbgnificant number of large colonies on several fam)$ within the area, where we have effectively controlled the powlation and rehomed any kittens. Again, this year the demand for help with strayldomestic cats has continued to grow. We are having an increasing number of owners asking us to take into care, domestic Cats that they are no longer able to rAre for. This is becoming a worrying tr8nd, where numbers are now higher than places availabl8. Our rehoming programme has grovm during year with a continued increase in the amount of cats and kittens we have homed, vthich we are hoping continues. We continued to offer help and advice lo the general public through direct contact and through our publications and social media. Our fundraising achievements and perfomiance serve to support and sustain the ¢haritiès main aciivities. Our charity shop being our main regular income has become very well supported by the local communtty and our support base for regular monetary and lor non-monetary donation to help towards veterinary costs and Caring for the catslkittens in our Gar8 has increased. We have successfully wn several appeal$ to raise funds to cover the cost of expensive, emergency and often lrfe-saving veterinary treatment for the catS1kenS in care. P•r* 1.20
