The Trustees and members re￿1ve regular updates on the income and
expenditure, but are fully aware of the need to consider the necessity of
complying with the terms of the lease, which was renewed in February
2022, under which the CIO occupies the shop in the local shopping centre,
and the financial implications arising from it.

The objects of the CIO are - such purposes as are exclusively Charitable
including promoting the principle of good citizenship, the Voluntary
Sector, and Volunteering, the relief of poverty, the advancement of
health, or the saving of lives for the disadvanlaged, conservation
protection, the improvement of Ihe natural environment, and community
participation in healthy recreation

The CIO will apply funds by making grants where it is believed the
contribution will make a real difference in accordance with the Charivs
charitable obj-ects. Each grant is considered on its own merits in
accordance with the Grant Making policy approved by members, and by
the Charity Commission e.g. Local charities. Youth and Children's
organisations, and community support.
Due regard is taken of the advice from the Charity Commission.

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
The Trustees ensured that the income stream was maintained, and
expenditure controlled, so that sound financial oversight can be assured
to meet its objedives.
income has gradually increased and the Tnjstees were able to make
donations during the current year. Appropriate monitored expenditure
was continued to bè applied to meet the Trust's legal obligations under its
lease.,
During the year, the CIO was able to give help and assistan￿ to Youth
and Children's projects. Community & Environmental initiatives including
local schools, and to the Elderly & Vulnerable. Support was also given to
the Lions Clubs Intemational schemes to assist those who had SLrffered
from disasters both in the UK and elsewhere.

The Trustees regularly report to members on the accounts and
recognised and agreed that a reserve of £20,000 should be set aside,
and reviewed regularly to meet any obligations under the lease of the
premises occupied for the main fundraising activity, and other legal
commitments..
