We have appointed a new Chairman &KI revitalised our traning procedures to bring them more into line with established practs.. as required by <yJr landlord, DTC. We have continued to complete commissions for DTC a1 other I1 (glS*10nS as well as private individuals and continue to SUPF(Xt local Maets arKI othèr events. These provide the majority of our income. We have started regular aftemoon sessions to offer members more time in the Shed and to suit those vA)o may not be availab in the moming. For various reasons outside our control, at thè tim8 of this report the pknned refurbishment of our Shed has yet to commence. We are workirvJ dosely vith DTC and their BuildiNJ servi contractor to mov8 towards a contract start and are addressing funding issues caus&Y by th8 inflatK)n in building material prices since this project was first conceived. Premises & Facilitks: 2.1: Insurance: The 2022 Insurance Policy provides comprehensNe cover for all current and planned activities, Public Liabilty Insurance (irKaudiTh3 Employee's Liability Insurance) and TNstees' indemnity. 2.2: Premises: We have agreed a fomiat of tenancy 8greerrt with DTC, based on a seven•year occupancy at zero rent and rates. The plan for the refurbishment project is to indude a ambuL8nt disab]ed an updated mess area, a partition behveen the workshop and mess area, new lighting and power distn'bution and new security doors at access points to the building. The requirements for the new ventilation system have also been finalised arKI a suitable system iderrtffied. 13: Facilities: No basic changes to last year.

These have been imeMented and apted by members. 3.2: The Members General Meeting: Tr AGM was held on tr May 2022. It was attendèd by the Trustees and ten Shed members. 3.3: Actions: 3.3.1.' David Gould to putlicise the Amazon Smile charity donation system to members- COMPLETE 3.4: Health & Safety Pollcy Statement.. As per last ReFMxL 3.5: Health & Safety File: Contsins a CoMphenSlve set of instructions and guidelines regarcting the management of 'self-accr8ditation', use of machine arml hand tcK)Is, etc. 3.6." PPE.. Is available free issue, except for safety fooiwear, which is the responsibilty of the member to purchase. 3.7: Fire Safety: The inspeciion of the fire extinguishers remains the responsibilty of DTC and has been undertaken as required. Fire Safety training has yet to be given to members. 3.8: First Aid: There are now six trained First Aiders. Only ttwee have full first aid training. The new recruits have onty been trained to deal wlth heart attacks. Additional trainin9 is pla)ned. 3.9: Accidents and Near Misses: One member sustained a relab"vety.minor injury vthen using one of our machine tools, although this did require some medical attenb"on. It was incid8nt that prompted the process review by the Trustees OLrtiined above. 4: Finance, Fund Raising I Communty Activities and Products: 4.1: Finance: The Shed ¢onlinu&s to raise sufficient funds for activities lo continue and Yive*igates sources of extemal funding as y become avrare of them. 4.2: Fund Raising I Community Activities: Dunstable Town Council: have seen less activity directly for DTC in the last year. Trade and Craft Fair5: have attended a number of trade and craft fairs during the year, which have c£tntributed significantly to cmjr iOme. We also use these as opportunities to publicise the Shed and meet tentIal rÉw members. Beecroft Academy: One Ccjmmission from kst year is still outstanding. Thè 2022 Dunstable l Anglia in Bloom Project: Vk Contin to off8r our assistan to support the 2022 project. 1Ole have recently provided a number of Award Plaques and have completed two Sign Boards.

We will k)ok to strengthen the management of the Shed by nvolving rn0 memr$ who have skills to offer to the Shed. We will continue to supFort the UK Men's Shed Association and maintsin cmtact with l¢xal Sheds.
