On 1st January 2020, 811 assets and Irdbilrties of Barnv11 Bapts"st Church Iregistered charity number 11487601 were transferred to Bamwell Bapb"st Church CIO Iregistered charity numtr 11785681. Catrin Horrex was appoirled as a Tn&stee on 1st Seplemt*r 2021 and Cutt"s Wotsj on 3rd October 2021. Rev Robin Giles and Yvonne Desha reb.red as Trustees on 3rd t0r 2021. Objects and Acllvltles As we look back over 2021, we see a year that was very heavity impacted by the coinD-19 pandemic. Nonetheless. we are grateful for God's continijed failhfulness ar provisn for our Church. As of 31st December. our membership was 44. For the f rsl part of the year, we conbnued to record our services and deliver these online, or for those wrthout inlemet access. on a DVD. As the Pandem-re18ted restrKtions began to ease from July. we were able to meet on site, when we stopped recording servus ar met on srte a live Zoom version available lo join online for those unabbe to attend. In our Sunday teaching, we began the year wtih a seiies entIt"Let us. foll(NRd by series, entitled "Hope" and "Joseph". As we began lo meet on srte we had a series on the Ble and one entrtled .1 Love my Churth.. Other church ath"vib"es (small groups, prayer meetings and leadership meeb.ngsl began to meet on sile although some are sbll online Izooml. The pandemrc and the disruption it caused exacerbakny needs in the community. The church responded to this. and the building continued to be used to run a fcKKI hsjb whth was set up by Abbey People. This was open 4 days a week but felocaled lo the Easl Barnwell Community Centre at the teginning of May. Stuart was very heavity Invoed in this and supporttng the church and the Iccal community. W8 made very good prcgres5 toward our goal ofestsblishing a worshipping communty on the Marteigh development We appointed a part-tsme trainee Minister (Catrin HoeXI who started in September 2021. She is combining training at Spurgeon's College with working in Bamwell and al Madeigh. The Church Is raising funds lo purchase a Manse lo enab Catn"n and her famity to move to the marIgh development. We are continuing lo work vitth a group of Christsan propety developers and are planning lo blI the Church. This is a complex bul excitsng projecl. Our overarching aim remains to eneouraoe disapleship within the Church and reach those in the area with the Gospel. Despite the challenges, we have much lo gNe thanks for and continue to trust that in 2022 God wll meet all our need5 as He dS us in His ways.
